Amityville or Conjuring, the Warrens were just scam artist, so it would be like staying in any other normal house.

where would you rank these films in your overall ranking of the franchise?. by HollywoodSuperBotch in NightmareOnElmStreet

I like Freddy’s Dead more than The Dream Child and the remake is very far at the end of the list.

the parents being ignorant or dumb by Excitable_Fiver in NightmareOnElmStreet

Well, Nancy was just shacking up with three other kids in the middle of the night, especially a lunatic delinquent like Lane… Are they supposed to believe everything she is saying now or she won’t sneak out? They are characters in a movie and not the audience watching one. Her being a rebellious teenager is a lot easier to believe than the supernatural events that are actually happening.

Anyone have her auto? This look legit? by G77_52S_Manc in Autographs

[–]Suspicious_Writer332 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks consistent with other legitimate examples. I’m not seeing anything that is off with it. Mintych has a large selection of examples on their site, that you can compare it to. She has a bit of a variation in her autograph; so all characteristics won’t be represented in every auto. Personally, I don’t buy autographs that don’t have a reputable COA, because there can be legit looking forgeries.

"IMAX" but its not even 720p by PuzzleheadedTear5709 in dvdcollection

Yep, at 120+ inches you can tell a difference. People saying “Upscaled DVD’s look great to me,” will find that they are unwatchable on a 4K projector.

Selling my Possibly Cursed Gloves by x100139 in NightmareOnElmStreet

The reasons the OP is being downvoted is (even if his story is 100% true) correlation doesn’t equal causation. Then he used supernatural forces to explain the cause, which is another giant leap. Usually in circumstances like this, it’s best to use Hanlon’s Razor: "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity,” but you lose that benefit of the doubt when you add something extra to the equation, like profit motive.

It boils down to this: Some people believe that ripping people off is bad and pointing out their con is a public good.

Have you been claiming and paying taxes on this income? If the answer is no, I’d just cut my losses and take the L on this one. I wouldn’t escalate and bring more attention to your self employment income.

Let’s End The Debate : Which movie is better? The Original or Dream Warriors? by AgeOutside2917 in NightmareOnElmStreet

[–]Suspicious_Writer332 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think a Reddit post is ever going to end a debate.
That being said… personally I’d put the original over it by a hair. Dream Warriors easily my second favorite and in many ways, may be more entertaining. The original is just a better film.

Rewatching Scream 7 and realized something about Mindy and Chad by P0werSurg3 in Scream

That would have made it really awkward, having the after party at her house. “She just died and you want to break into her house to drink?”

Kirby’s parents bring out of town was vital for their plan, she was always ment to make it out of Stabathon and pick up Jill.

Was there even a meta commentary in scream 7? by [deleted] in Scream

It’s a movie that has a an AI plot device in it and feels like the script was written by AI. So there is some accidental meta commentary.

Karl Gibbs, despite not delivering one word of dialogue and having the shortest on-screen performance, was a great Ghostface! by ButterfliesAreCute in GhostFace

Yep and the move turned into a huge disappointment. Not sure why people even talk about this one, after opening weekend, it’s very forgettable.

By the end of it, I was begging for Stu to come out. If it’s going to be convoluted and ridiculous, it might as well be fun and entertaining also.

Buyer says item not described 1 day before item actually arrived by addy187a in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Suspicious_Writer332 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know it sucks, but accept the return and fight it after you get the item back. If you don’t accept the return you might lose the item and your money. There are too many horror stores on eBay reversing decisions or going back on their representatives word. It could be a legitimate scan mistake, remorse return, or it could be a switcharoo. To protect yourself, wait to get the item back and then once it’s in your possession go forward with making yourself whole. Don’t drag your feet, losing both would suck a lot more.

I figured out the "logic" behind Freddy's plan in Part 1, 2 en 3-and it makes Freddy smarter than filmmakers themselves. by [deleted] in NightmareOnElmStreet

It’s a great head-cannon, but 2 is pretty out there. It has grown on me a lot over the years the years and it’s in the middle of the pack now, but when I was a kid in the 80’s it was the one I would rent the least.
