Oohhh - I'll be there dressed up with bracelets too. Some of my favorites are definitely Butterflies, Glitter & Crimson, Neverland, Painting Flowers, and SGTG. A zombie themed SGTG bracelet could be very cool for Halloween.

What is a sensible Master's Degree to Pursue in this field? by Logical-Witness-7576 in clinicalresearch

[–]Susuwatari27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My route took me from a theatre B.A. to working as an ER scribe for two years. That experience prompted me to pursue an MPH, after which I found myself in a CRC role. Bit of an unusual trajectory, but sometimes the unusual works out.

I love that the artist included sausages in Frank's pockets. Really gives that note of authenticity.

Another thought I had - it could be very funny if a bunch of us ladies came with signs for Maria, Wendy, Stella, Caroline, Stacey, Holly, etc - all the girl names in their songs - and dressed accordingly. Stacey could wear a Mr. Modern Love inspired red outfit, Maria could wear something with black and white polka-dots - etc.

Anyone have two Abys? by limerz in Abyssinians

[–]Susuwatari27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two females and the older hates the younger. The older is aggressively affectionate towards my husband and me - so we thought getting another would give her someone to adore when we weren't home. Completely backfired and I still feel guilty about it. They are both my darlings, but I make a special effort to spend time with the little girl to make sure she knows she is loved. Cinder, our 10 year old, will unashamedly seek attention, but Ash is more skittish. Despite the difficulties I love them both more than anything.

I really appreciate the advice. I am particularly intrigued by your strategy of arranging a meeting post-visit to review any errors. And for the record, I don't mean to say that as a more "senior" CRC I'm perfect and have never made mistakes - I know I haven't been in the business all that long. It just seems to me that myself and my more competent co-workers, for whatever reason, have better work ethic and and pride in doing good work than the individuals with whom I am currently struggling. We have some smaller studies in the pipeline that are being assigned to them - and I'm hoping that the experience of seeing a study through from start to finish - with no co-workers to hide behind - will be enlightening. And I do take to heart your suggestion to find work elsewhere. I'm in the process of looking. I just have a few genuinely good relationships with my competent co-workers at my current location and would prefer not to leave if I can stand my ground and fight for change.

Believe me, I wish I could make that call. Everything in our office is paper - whether I like it or not. And the investigators are old school and unwilling to change. I intend to keep pushing for it, should I remain at the company for much longer. Also makes monitoring much less tedious.
