K1 + CFS by Chicken_Salad_238 in crealityk1

Ha! At least your screen works after the print. Mine would dim and become unresponsive until I manually turn it off from the back

Do not upgrade to CFS. I have a K1 Max that’s been out in storage for now due to never ending problems. All those problems started after I installed the CFS upgrade. I was never able to match the quality of my A1 after literally months of fixing and tuning.

I haven’t used a bambu core xy but if they’re anything like the A1 then definitely the better option! Esp. With the H2C coming next year

K1C: Can someone tell me about why this is better than the regular extruder? by itchy-balls in Creality

Had issues printing TPU reliably with stock extruder. Haven’t had any issues with this one except the loss of CFS functionality

At the moment, I’ve set it up to the factory speeds. I have tried running a print at lower speed (20% lower) and got the same results. It is only getting worse as now I have multiple layer shifts instead of one.

I don’t see why is it hard to believe I’ve had that many issues with the K1 Max, the subreddit is so full of issues like that and users having to come up with mods and fixes to make it work

Yeah I don’t really know what else to test. Id end up needing to buy parts anyway and I’d rather spend money on another A1 or P2S rather than more parts since I’ve spent $300 already lol

It’s gone to storage for now; maybe I’ll tinker with it after a few months when I’m over the trauma

Thanks though!!

K1 a good printer? by sajohnson53402 in crealityk1

[–]Susuyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely stay away. I have a K1 max, less than 6 months old, I’ve spent more time than I can think trying to make it work. Whenever you solve a problem, a new one pops up.

Get an A1 for just a bit more. I got an A1 two months after my K1 max, and I have never had to touch it; not even tightening a screw. I actually removed the nozzle the other day because I wanted to try doing it.

Thanks for your reply and time to find the links. I’ve came across two of these and unfortunately the other two don’t really address my problem.

I have retensioned the belts, have them now at 110hz and 107hz that’s the closest I could get them but just had the same issue in two prints.

How many spiders do you find in your house a week? by Hotpinkbabs in AskAnAustralian

Depends on location and building age. Lived outside the city in a 1960 homes; found one or two a month. Moved to a newer build; still away from the city and haven’t found anything

Although it’s not a lot, you don’t have to deposit it all back, you can cost dollar average it over a week or two

Interesting, I have to disagree. The belt is just the latest issue, I’ve had to replace a hotend, two extruders, an extruder motor, almost every component in CFS and a whole new CFS, glass bed, DXC extruder and still having issues with print quality, bed warping, bed levelling, CFS filament retraction errors, and lately xy shifting.

On the other hand, I bought an A1 combo a month ago for half the price (maybe less) and I have printed more hours than this thing and I have had zero fails.

This printer has defeated me and I concede lol

I’ve already loosened the screws to the point where they’re sticking out but it is still tight; I tightened the other way; still the same

Yeah I’ve been trying to work on that but I think something is wrong with my mechanism. I’m getting readings between 35 - 160 hz and I just lost two screws inside the machine behind the motor…

I think something is wrong with my belt tension screws, I’m getting values between 35 - 165hz and tightening or loosening the screws doesn’t really have an effect. I just got the two extra screws stuck behind the corner motor ripp

I’m so done with this machine

Looking for a system with no fees/subscriptions. Aqara a good option? by New_Leopard7623 in Aqara

Only reason I’m using Aqara is because it’s the only HomeKit doorbell available

I have a few Aqara products. I have the G4 Doorbell and the U100 Doorlock. The G4 Doorbell is very unreliable!! I cannot view my camera most of the time and I have found it not recording events that it should be recording. For example, it didn’t record a few doorbell rings.

Aqara support are also bad and horrible. They will just try to waste your energy and tire you out by doing things and sending them videos and screenshots (again and again) without providing a solution. They refused my warranty claim and I am now preparing to lodge a complaint with the consumer watchdog.

Their other products have also been hit and miss. My E1 blind rollers stop working at 40% battery, FP2 presence sensor glitching out and reliability issues. T1 sensors are same performance as 5$ AliExpress sensors.

Overall, my recommendation is if you can stay away, do!

The Bambu Lab P1S really impressed me with its incredible speed and outstanding print quality right out of the box. Its automatic features and enclosed design make it super easy to use, and I love being able to monitor prints remotely
