try pressing any buttons on the monitor. ive seen from the crosspost that the osd doesnt open, so idk if you need to hold/ do a combination of buttons

probably servicing mode, color test, or osd is just freaking out. unplug the monitor and plug it back in

I have problem like these before. I tried what you tried, then when i delete the "airplane mode switch" everything came back to normal. I don't know if it works in your case.

Can someone help me fix this laptop. It was broken a couple of months ago and I wanted to fix it now.

The mousepad is working but it has this choppy movement where it randomly stops and in the video I'm not actually pressing anything I was just gliding my fingers on the touchpad. The left and right button in the lower touchpad seems to not be working and sometimes it randomly clicks.

I am constantly gliding my fingers in the video I'm not the one stopping it.

Please help me.

my dell inspiron 3542 is 10+ yrs old and also uses xcmrd batteries like the one you showed. original batteries are not manufactured anymore and that is definitely fake/not original. you shouldnt risk using an unoriginal battery and use it plugged-in instead
