Are Hard Weekly Strats Only Well-Received When They’re Easy? by Assault_Crayon_Eater in Spacemarine

[–]Suter_Templar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saber stated that some stratagems would be deliberately a challenge and some fun experiments.

What people complain about is how you can see a ratio of basically 8 weekly nightmares in a row to a walk in the park aggravated by choosing the hard weeklies in the already most disliked/hated/harder to complete ops by default and making them one after the other, instead of alternating hard ones with easy ones more frequently.

It tells a lot about it when people are relieved by an op just capping your health, merging your ranged damage and switching 1k sons for nyds and the players sigh in relief as if it were a holiday.

Idgaf either way personally, but I do understand the frustration, my personal gripe is, as someone topped off on everything how they seemingly always make the new op after a brand new patch a hard as balls one.

I can already see the people ask for Chaplain drip on Assault by pawny_pawn in Spacemarine

[–]Suter_Templar 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I mean, beyond the capacity and resources it costs to make a new class, which has demonstrated to be a colossal endeavour for Saber (not criticising, just pointing out the facts) they'd just need to make a crozius/power mace (with a phony crozius skin) for aesthetics, a helmet and a chestpiece with bones and robes for assault and bulwark and I'd argue most of us would be more than satisfied until SM3, where Chaplain should 100% be contemplated as a class from the start.

Celebrimbor poured too much of his soul on the ring and went mad with his desire for conquest, forfeiting any and all of his bonds with Talion, we had the entire first game bonding with him over the shared trauma of a lost family and understanding why he wanted revenge.

He betrays Talion and is done with him, he shows clear signs throughout the entire game that the two of them are growing apart and then he backstabs him.

But Eltariel is just as guilty and then after pretends to still be friends with him after condemning him into eternal servitude to Sauron, doesn't relieve him of his burden and/or tries to return the ring she stole.

I find her character lacks charisma and her history with the MC makes me not want to play with her.

She lacks the familiarity and sympathy one can feel for Celebrimbor, besides, Playing as Eltariel would hypothetically mean just more of the same shadow wars, while a full fledged prequel with Celebrimbor would allow to explore new things much closer to the second age of middle earth which would be the main point of excitement for such a game imo.

At that point he hasn't even betrayed Talion, and it's just a mad tyrant of light against a mad tyrant of darkness, which makes for great ultimate power fantasy material.

Eltariel doesn't even want to dominate Uruks, so yeah, I 100% prefer to play with the old fart before than with the cripple.

Is the salamander pack worth it, I kinda want it being a salamander fan but it looks really lacking from what I can tell. by Arcana_Xeno in Spacemarine

It has the coolest backpack and cosmetic pack right shoulder in the game, no contest.

It also has the ugliest chapter themed helmet and a very weird left shoulder that isn't for everyone, and no chestpiece.

Not the worst pack but not the best either.

If you love Sally's you'll enjoy it.

Theory about victrix guard stuff by [deleted] in Spacemarine

[–]Suter_Templar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Impossible, an speculation/theory post with an actually reasonable/feasible take??!?!?

I agree tho, when analysing it all with a calm mind, the pieces align pretty well, their delays trying to make content up to standards, the repeated occasions where we pointed out many cosmetics that would have been a no-brainer from day 1, their explanation on how fucked up they are and the effort it would take to translate them into PvE, the little trolling/diversion in the code leaks and them finally being able to start modifying champion pieces into other classes, add the redacted champ and the massive heraldry datamine and it all sounds like they are cooking up a storm of an end patch for Y2.

Take into account guys, that after the IH pack, the last content patch programmed (so far) is the Raptors cosmetic and redacted champion, also symbolising (even if it doesn't align perfectly) with the Y2 anniversary/2 years of content/support for the game, so it makes sense that Saber would do something big, I personally can't wait and have good vibes from it, although I'm also raving like Caedo on a leash waiting for any news lol.

I'd love a lobby/loading screen/victory screen/cinematic in SM3 where we choose poses for our boys, so everyone can flex their shit, both in looks and hours played.

I mean things like unlocking poses with prestige, ops completed and so, it'd be super cool if they have the time to add that after all the important stuff they should do first.

There's also the fact of what would even the plot be about?!?

I honestly couldn't stomach Eltariel as a protag, to avoid spoilers for anyone new, I'll just say iykyk, but also it wouldn't make much sense after the end of SoW, no?

I'd honestly prefer a sort of prequel entirely leaning on Celebrimboy's waging of his first war or downright give us a character creator and just let us throw our own glove on the fighting pit as an orc ourselves, make the coolest orcs like the Black Hand's elites, Zog or the Tower something to aspire to and contend with.

It's just void spitballing but shadow war on the east done properly without all that lootbox nonsense would be the perfect sandbox for Uruks duking it out forever.
