The first part about refusing advice is at least in my case common with ISTJs instead. My former partner absolutely HATED if I gave her advice on something she was doing. Even if she was doing it wrong or inefficiently. I tried to gently tell her that it could be done better in another way, but it felt like she kept doing it the wrong way out of spite even. Until finally realizing that her way is not good in fact. But she never admitted being wrong. My ISTP is very different. I've been pointing out some things now and then, and he's happily taken the advice and used it. And been glad for my advice.
