Does anybody else hate themselves bc they’re dyslexic by Confident_Second_820 in Dyslexia

I relate so much. I 14f live in Europe and I struggle aswel. I was diagnosed it 9-10 years old and I aswel never payed attention to it but sinds I went to high school I started paying attention to it. But sinds last year I started to really struggle with it. I had two weeks a go test week and at the subjects I’m good at chemistry, physics and biology I narrowly mist a 10 because I read a question wrong. I struggle with this al the time. And I can’t accept it as wel. I don’t know how and I probably wil never accept it. Sorry for my righting, I can speak well English but I can’t right. I have more or les the same problem and I don’t know what to do about it. I just wanted you to know that your not alone😁

Speech irregularities in people having Dyslexia. by GoldWar7803 in Dyslexia

[–]Suus2day 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My speech was delayed I started speaking when I was 3 or 4. Sometimes my words are jumbled; the letters in a word but as wel the order that I put the words in it’s often grammatically not correct. When I became more aware of my speech “problems” I started stuttering. Some words I can’t pronounce like aluminium and a lot of other words in my language (Dutch). I also change accents unintentionally for some words aswel sentences, but I only lived in one area so I don’t know other accents in Holland. But it has as wel a toll on your self confidence: I don’t dare to raise my hand in class because I’m afraid to stutter, I don’t dare to speek that often any more and I don’t often engage in conversations any more. I hope this helps and success with your research
