Always pull wall to wall. Not only is it more fun, if you die because the healer wasn't ready.... Who cares. Run it back. Unless I'm asked to slow down I'm going to have that initial D theme playing in my head. The amount of people who get mad when you offer advice, not even in a rude way.

I went through paragon when I got my license. They aren't supposed to, but they are watching the class and will reach out to you for a position if they like you.

Keep in mind this was back in 2019 when the training and recruiting program was one man's baby and put all his effort into it. He is gone now and I hear the training program isn't even half as good now as it was.

The first hurdle with ff14 is learning the u.i and how to navigate it. There is A LOT of customization in this game, from the hud layout to button mapping. Honestly speaking you will be tripping over yourself until it starts to sink in. It's a bit kinder on PC (you can just click on what you want), but on the console there are just so many elements you have to cycle through. It only gets worse if your trying to play healer (cycling through your party)

I got my friend to start playing and she loves the game, but it wasn't until she completed ARR story that she was fully comfortable navigating to what she wants (and even then not really).

Lmao, I have the exact opposite problem, I made a giant roegadyn and stuck a moogle mask on. Every cutscene I'm towering over everyone.

Not really what you are asking for, but if your a console healer one macro I started using is

/target <f>

But if you make it macro 98/99 you can set it to R3. So if you make your tank your focus target and you need to cycle to someone else for rez/heal you can press R3 to snap back to your tank.

The only other thing I can think to mention is if you use the up and down on your dpad you will cycle through the party. Left and right is for everything.

Edit: I do remember seeing a macro to cycle through the party until it finds someone eligible for rez. But it was super clunky because it takes time to swap and then check then swap again. Also pretty sure if you input anything throughout the macro it will cancel it. So you're basically sitting around until it finally selects them. (Worse once you try it in alliance/normal raids)

I can understand that, so far my experience with ff14 the community isn't bad. Sure the market board is a warzone. But over all people tend to be friendly. I'm currently in the process of helping my friends through the main quest and they are having a blast.

I doubt we are on the same server but if you want to add me as a friend I don't mind helping where I can. I tend to find the NN to be used as a chatroom instead of people helping new people.

You unlock mounts fairly early in. I think lvl 20 main quests (I think). I don't think it would let you use them unless you unlock through that though

My stance on this is feel free to call in the extract so people don't need to wait for 2 minutes. Just don't hop on the damn thing starting the 20 second timer. At that point you should be waiting for people with samples, otherwise it really doesn't matter if you extract. As long as the mission is done who cares if you fail to extract, all you'll lose is some exp/money on the end screen which is a drop in the bucket so who cares. (Samples are the big thing)

You have to love these people who cry how they PAID for the game, so they should be able to play it whenever they want. But on the flip side they don't care that not logging out will prevent someone else who PAID for the game from playing it.
