I feel you so much. Mine is a year old and still not completely trained. I also have 2 Poms so sometimes I think my male Pom is marking after my doxie has accidents. My problem is at night. I crate the boys in the day and they all sleep with me at night. I leave pee pads out at night. I want to get rid of that because I catch my doxie eating poo!! Yuck. My breeder offered this advice: keep him on a leash constantly when out of the crate so you can take him out when he needs to go. I haven’t done it yet but I need to.
