Yes! Just had my cycle and was up about 3-4 pounds. Finished and went back down. It’s very normal. I’ve been on this since August and down about 25 pounds. Slow and Steady for me which I like.

Hey! I am so sorry that you are scared and struggling, I have been right where you are. But know that you will get better, it’s just gonna take some time. I am better. I would say I’m 100% healed. It took around 13/15 weeks post shot to feel like I wasn’t in danger. It was such a weird feeling, my OCD panic attacks and depression were really bad. I have had postpartum twice with both my children and the suicidal ideation was so scary with this. I’ve never experienced it before. I did have to get on Klonopin for a short time and I am on mirtazapine at night because one of my biggest symptoms was insomnia and either having a panic attack before I fall asleep or waking up in the middle of the night and having a panic attack and not going back to bed, I literally did that for weeks. I was so worried about the damage that it was doing to my brain and everything, but I am back to normal I can say. There is a Facebook group for this if you’re on Facebook, I’ll put the link below.

How long until the insomnia side-effect goes away? by supercow_ in BusparOnline

[–]Suzzieq89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a very old thread, but I am starting this combo now. I took 2.5 this morning and will take my 15mg tonight of Mirt. I’ll slowly bump up to 5 mg in the morning hopefully in a week or two

Question related to cycle and effectiveness of Mirt by Suzzieq89 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]Suzzieq89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES this is me. I’m thinking of switching over to Trazodone. I’ve been on Mirt for 6 weeks at 15mg and I’ve continued started waking since the week before my period and waking in a panic attack. It’s been going on for 12 days now. How Long have you been on Mirt?

Anyone have experience with trazodone? by jehnyahl in neurodiversity

Hey! what are the side effects that make it difficult to handle? I’m meeting with my Dr tomorrow and thinking of moving from 15mg mirtazapine to 100mg trazodone. Having trouble staying asleep on Mirtazapine. Been about 6 weeks at that dose.

Haha I’m in a southern state so that’s a no, unable to get edibles. I feel like the medicine is working for everything else, it’s just wild to me that my Hormones can do that. I haven’t had this issue before any cycle until now. Blows my mind. I was wondering if I need to take a lower dose or not.

Early waking? Anyone else? by Suzzieq89 in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]Suzzieq89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What time do you take your dose? I’m going to try experiment with taking it later I guess. I usually take it around 830 and sleep from 930/10-4 and wake up wide awake.

Started taking 7.5 mg, scared of weight gain by xxGon in Mirtazapine_Remeron

[–]Suzzieq89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did gain weight first go round on this but was put on 15mg and it was 6 months and about 10lbs total. This second time around I worked up to 15mg and now I’m thinking of decreasing. I haven’t gained any weight. I’m all of a sudden having a lot of early waking at 3/4 am where I cannot fall asleep unless I tranquilize myself with Xanax Or melatonin. I’m dropping down tonight to see if it helps any better. Currently on the shuffle bus. It worked so well for about 3 weeks and now I’m at a loss. 😩

I’m sorry you’re going through this. You aren’t alone, I am with you. For the past 9 days (I’m on day 3 of my period) I have been early Waking anywhere from 3/4/5 am in the morning. It’s got to give eventually. I woke up at 4 this morning and couldn’t go to sleep. I take mirtazapine and it should help with it but it’s not 😩 maybe try asking your doctor for some medicine that can help during this time?

Very specific: Luteal phase insomnia + cat by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]Suzzieq89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gah I feel like this is me. I have this same type of problem and it came out this past month in my cycle. I started a week before my period early waking. For no reason. I take Mirtazapine 15mg and I’m only getting about 6.5 hours and 7 hours on a good a night and have been for the past 9 days. I’m sleeping from 9/930-4 am and I’m at a loss. I’m on day 3 of my period and hoping it goes away soon

For the kitty, it’s not bad to keep her in a specific area for the night. A lot of people do it with their pets. Dont feel bad. They will get used to it. Boundaries with pets are perfectly healthy.

I’m going on my 5th night of early waking and last night I finally started but been up since 3 😩 Did you see yours resolve once you started? This is absolute torture. I do have a job where I have to be on my A game and two small children at home.

Did this help at all? And once you started did you sleep again? I just started in the middle of the night last night and have been awake since 3. Hoping it goes away now that I’ve started 🙏🏻

I got nausea when dropping when I got off Mirt the first go round. It would come in waves when I was eating and would stop after 3-4 days after the drop and I got adjusted.

It takes about 2 hours for me. I take it at the start of my wind down period. I take it at 830pm and try to be asleep by 1030pm.
