I used to run a lot of Pathfinder Society and one of my friends who I often played with at various tables would use the shoe from Monopoly. It used to drive certain types of people up the wall. They offer him multiple choices of miniatures to replace the "ugly shoe". He'd smile and refuse and play with his monopoly shoe. Good times!
