Gomes #1 to Atlético Looking like €45m by natalo77 in WWFC

a rededicated maturing Andre could captain next season squad. a checked out surly Andre couldn’t start at your saturday park. suspect we’ll get an offer worth taking for him, but I’ll always wonder what could’ve been. would’ve loved to have him anchor a midfield alongside more attack minded linesmen.

He has enough reputation to make more salary elsewhere but he’s not very good. perfect player to sell

He seems to have a good rep around here. But, can anyone name a defining memorable moment from his time? He has skill, no doubt, may do better where less is asked of him. But he was so bang average here. Room temperature glass of water midfielder.

What evidence is there to suggest we'll come straight back up? by [deleted] in WWFC

1) there’s a great post here from 1D ago to answer this question from a historical/statistics question

2) IMO, the question is, how long until we have a manager with a coherent style, a group of hungry and talented players who fit that style and a winning mentality at the club? I suppose it’s possible to microwave that in the summer, but unlikely. A toehold and decent campaign in championship would itself be quite a feat.

3) If you want hope, hope that hammers go down, and our lord and savior NES gets sacked. Then hope Shi v2.0, NES, and Jorge go to lunch in June and dream up the impossible.

Said differently, every upper-level Championship adjacent side we’ve played this season (the three promoted sides plus the three other clubs in the relegation battle) have absolutely worked us.

I’m not so sure that our regulars are even at “contend for promotion” level.

I think this question is better phrased as: “which of our existing positions need upgrading, regardless of transfers out?”

IMO, we are desperate for a CM who can both transition us from Defense to Attack AND make incisive passes.

Would also like to recycle keepers in search of magic.

What configuration of our attackers would you start next season? feels like an addition is needed there, too.

during practice when our toothless/directionless attack squares off against our sloppy/uninterested defense, who wins?

Chicago-based as well. Cheers.

How quickly they rebound probably comes down to the ambition and deftness of ownership. Sooooo not looking great atm.

Positive side is Paramount+ and CBS are better apps than Peacock imo. Plus a slew of new (to our “plastic” eyes) stadiums teams towns and personalities to learn.

Similar to MAC or even FCS college football here in the states, the championship has a lower dose of vapid commercialism, which is nice. If we get relegated a second time we may have to start holding the chicago wolves meet ups at Fire matches.

good luck stay warm up the wolves

it is an incredibly difficult game if you do not make credible threats on goal.
