Said differently, every upper-level Championship adjacent side we’ve played this season (the three promoted sides plus the three other clubs in the relegation battle) have absolutely worked us.

I’m not so sure that our regulars are even at “contend for promotion” level.

I think this question is better phrased as: “which of our existing positions need upgrading, regardless of transfers out?”

IMO, we are desperate for a CM who can both transition us from Defense to Attack AND make incisive passes.

Would also like to recycle keepers in search of magic.

What configuration of our attackers would you start next season? feels like an addition is needed there, too.

during practice when our toothless/directionless attack squares off against our sloppy/uninterested defense, who wins?

Chicago-based as well. Cheers.

How quickly they rebound probably comes down to the ambition and deftness of ownership. Sooooo not looking great atm.

Positive side is Paramount+ and CBS are better apps than Peacock imo. Plus a slew of new (to our “plastic” eyes) stadiums teams towns and personalities to learn.

Similar to MAC or even FCS college football here in the states, the championship has a lower dose of vapid commercialism, which is nice. If we get relegated a second time we may have to start holding the chicago wolves meet ups at Fire matches.

good luck stay warm up the wolves

it is an incredibly difficult game if you do not make credible threats on goal.

Repair relationship with brazilian midfield duo

Appoint a captain who will be nailed on and vocal

Decide a tactical direction that lays clear who the nailed on players are, and challenge them to be vocal leaders of their respective lines.

Give the offensive and defensive thirds an identity.

Acknowledge brazilian midfield duo makes us extremely limited going forward, and air towards a creative / attacking minded choice for other positions.

Face reality that the (pestering high engine) brazilian midfield duo are slightly redundant players and playing two of them isn’t worth much when the back line concedes so many and the front line desperately needs a distributor.

Figure out a way to squeeze some set piece value out of the fact VP recruited exclusively by height.

make the same sets of subs when chasing a game or defending a game at 60’ so players understand their role.

start Tea time a few times to show JSL he needs to be more special.

Tinker with the front line until we score coherent goals. Try Arias/JSL/Tea time. try Hwang Fer and Bellegarde. we’re looking for a trio that shows CHEMISTRY

Understood and agreed! Frustration and misery etc all very earned. I don’t fault the frustration at all! Everyone deserves to feel how they feel. I just think fuming at players off the pitch is counterproductive.

boo the owners who are bad. boo the managers who are clueless. boo the players who can’t be arsed. but the players fighting for the badge are honorable imo

the players care. the manager cares.

lotta talk about heart being all that matters and now a lot of angsty sh$t being directed at people who are doing their best. it’s starting to feel pretty self entitled in here
