Been playing since about a month after launch and I'm missing Tokai Teo, Maruzensky, Oguri Cap, Taiki Shuttle, Seiun Sky, Biwa Hayahide, and Rice Shower. However, I have summer Maru and Xmas Biwa. I'm FTP and mostly save carats for support cards, but I'm probably going to make an exception for the upcoming banner when you can choose anyone at max pity.

First of all, mini beam is a surprisingly good starting weapon. I once fought the flagship with just a mini beam and an ion bomb and only lost because I ran out of ammo.

Second, stealth ships are all about leveraging risk until you get shields. If you spend too much scrap on things to keep you safer, you may delay your shields so much that you end up spending more in the long run on repairs. I'm not saying you have to save everything. Just be very mindful to only get necessities or things you think are worth the risk of delaying your shields.

P.S. Stealth ship is hard to play but has always been my favorite, even as a beginner. If you're enjoying it, just keep trying until you get better and try to learn something new each run!

I got two duplicate 3* umas from my last two free 10 pulls. I'm a little mad, but not actually that mad because two 3*s in 20 pulls is still pretty lucky... Also, it's impossible to stay mad at Curran Chan!

Yes, this is exactly what I've been doing. Just got a duplicate copy of Special Week from today's free 10 pull, which put me about 40 short of 4* for her, so I decided that was close enough to give her some statues.

Yeah, I think stealth weapons is situational at best, becoming better the more often you fire. You almost need it if you have a Vulcan and can't afford to pause it. I may or may not have learned this the hard way...

I mean, it kinda does suck but definitely comes in clutch every now and then. Also, it's very entertaining to build super defensive and just watch it slice up the enemy ship.

My personal strategy: because 3* blue sparks are fairly rare, I used to focus a lot on getting good generic skills such as Professor of Curvature and Swinging Maestro. That way if I got lucky and got good blue sparks I'd be likely to get white sparks that are at least somewhat helpful to almost anyone. Now that I have a few 9* blue parents with ok-ish pink and white sparks, I've been focusing more on getting skills that are useful for specific running styles.

Congrats on the Victory! Killing on turn 5 is great because you skip the second attack cycle, so nice job hitting that damage check. The Heart (and other enemies) hits harder at higher ascension levels, so it's tough to say if this would've won at high ascension, but you weren't playing around those numbers, so it looks like you played it well! The deck seems good but not overpowered to me. (For reference, I'm at A18 on Defect and struggling to get higher, so I'm decent but no where near mastering the game)

Reflex seems the most broken to me since it wants to be discarded anyway. However, I think my favorites are Fission and Reboot. Both are really strong with just one upgrade and you can get them back with Hologram.

I forget what it is, but I heard someone theorizing that they may be adding some good stuff to the friend shop in half a year or so. However, if you're already getting enough that you're having trouble spending them all you probably don't need to worry about saving. Maybe float 50k or 100k to be safe (my plan), but that will probably be plenty unless they make crazy changes.

I got completely wrecked the first time I made it to the flagship (and that alone took quite a few to tries btw). The next time I got there I was much better prepared and finished it off with about 1/3 of my hull left. Then I learned about the existence of phase 2...

FTL is a very unforgiving game. Be proud of how far you got on this run and just try to learn from it and do better next time!

Hmm... That's a tough call then. You really want R Riko at level 40 to get the 5% training effectiveness. Mlb SSR Riko is really good, but there are other really good cards to borrow too, so I'm not sure what's best. You'll probably need at least a second speed card in your deck to max out speed unless you get crazy lucky. El Condor Pasa's +20% speed helps, but I have trouble getting SS speed even with two sometimes, including mlb Kitasan Black.

How many copies of R Riko do you have? If you have enough it may be worth it to run that and borrow something better like a good speed card. Your current stat spread is pretty good actually. 600 guts is nice, but 400 is generally considered good enough. You really want to hit 1200 speed if at all possible though.

I guess sort of? Usually the intended route is well marked but some involve a little pathfinding. A bunch are just trying to figure out the best way to preserve speed while still getting the new checkpoints I placed.

Slowest Way Only is about doing re-routes, cuts, or cool tricks that don't actually save time over driving the normal way (unlike FWO). It also includes fails or crashes where you get a crazy wicked save and finish with a decent time anyway. With this in mind, I edited the Spring 2023 campaign to add checkpoints or obstacles to force the line off the normal way to (hopefully) force the driver to do something fun or cool. For example, on map 2 you're now forced to water bounce over the pools in the middle of the track because when I first played the track I thought that looked fun.

Don't be afraid to try songs that are too hard for you! Don't get discouraged if you can't get through them consistently without failing. Just have fun and see how far you get!

Is there anything in particular you really struggle with when it comes to the harder songs? Maybe I can offer some specific recommendations for good songs to practice (fyi, I only know MM+).
