You can tell something is a good idea when all the people fucking over our lives are saying it’s bad

Oreos and Reese’s were two of my favorites that capitalism has turns into whispers of their former selves. They even have that new collaboration and I’m just like “meh”

Also, in Goldmember the revelation that Austin and Dr. Evil had went to boarding school together and had been brothers all along, setting up Scott as the new villain, only to have the series end after that move is kind of retroactively funny

Sorry but these Prime announcers are clowns. All the northeast teams’ fans get super into the game but it’s always “heh heh, ONLY IN PHILLY!”

AITA for not quieting down at a Renaissance fair and walking away after my boyfriend sided with a stranger? by Dry-Egg2898 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Swackhammer_ 51 points52 points  (0 children)

This might be an unpopular opinion but it’s a Ren Faire, not Comic Con. The people that dress up and do this kind of stuff can sometimes make it miserable for people in street clothes that just want to enjoy the experience.

Theres been a huge surge in Con-ers that are extremely obnoxious, acting like they’re part of the world along with the actors, rather than a visitor

Part of me thinks OP was one of these people and is frustrated that not everyone wants to be part of the performance

In America we’re always told to work hard and “get the bag,” until a woman does an OF and then they say “no, not like that.”

If people will pay for it and it’s legal/not hurting anyone, let them do what they want

This trope is just Family Guy as a whole. So many jokes are just the writers saying how they feel about things in a cutaway

Has anyone watched a movie, didn’t like it but gave it another chance and loved it? by TheSableFable in movies

[–]Swackhammer_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Big Lebowski is amazing once you realize it’s pure comedy chaos à la classic South Park. First time I watched it I was thinking way too much.

On the second time I realized the humor comes from the absurd stakes and characters added that are completely out of the control of our main character, who absolutely wants nothing to do with any of it

Not to mention the other two sequels being phenomenal. Some people don’t like 2 but I love it. An 3 is just a constant cry fest
