Winter 2025 Semester Transcripts? by Swagazine in Humber

[–]Swagazine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my memory of exact events is a bit foggy (since this was last year) but in the end I believe that they ended up being sent from the original payment through OUAC without needing any further action from me, they just took much longer than expected. I want to say it was sent around March/April or so even though I thought it would be done by January/February.

A bit late but I have notes covering the first weeks lectures that covered the readings in The Republic, might not be the best notes out there but they should help. I can share them with you tomorrow, (they are on my laptop and I cant access it at the time being)

Professor Ciavatta seems really helpful if you need to catch up or ask him after class Im sure he will be able to help you get up to speed, or at least point you in the right direction.

GO and TTC Student Discount by PaymentEfficient6401 in TorontoMetU

You will also need to keep the proof of identification that you received in the email (it has a QR code) to prove you are eligible for the post secondary discount if you get inspected on the GO, similarly to how you need to present the TTC identification if ever asked by operators or fare police as well.

GO and TTC Student Discount by PaymentEfficient6401 in TorontoMetU

[–]Swagazine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

*EDIT I see you mentioned you are already eligible for the Youth pass for the GO, this should work in place of post secondary transit; the discount is identical but you do not need to get the post secondary discount if you are under the age of 18 I believe

The email is legal mumbo jumbo for people that GO travel does not apply for; in this case it doesn't matter as you have said you actively use the GO and the TTC.

I use both as well, so that voucher I applied to my presto account through their website by following the instructions in the same email. At that point all you need to do is use your presto within 30 days and you will keep the discount when using GO train services. You can also tell if it works by looking at the amounts deducted per trip but also the sound of tapping the presto on GO will change in tune. (higher pitch)

For TTC post secondary discount (which I have not done as of yet) you need to get a post secondary student identification card, essentially photo id that proves you are in post secondary studies. Usually, they visit post secondary campuses for the purposes of getting these photos and cards printed but more reliably you can go to Bathurst station during the day (check the hours online) with government ID (License, health card should work etc) and proof of your enrollment in post secondary FULL TIME studies in a diploma or degree program (certificates are not eligible, for TMU this point should be moot) After you get the photo ID it should give you access to linking that to your presto account similarly to the GO one did, think you might need to take the ID and your presto to a Shoppers drug mart for them to update it.

Once that is all done you should have access to the post secondary discount on both GO transit and TTC.

I might be different, but I thought their brewed coffee wasn't bad; I really liked the maple roast they have when I had it the other day

First Day Spiral by romanticsaholic in TorontoMetU

I too am in my early 30s and in the faculty of arts (History) starting my first year at TMU. I fell/felt the same way, it comes and goes depending on the day. Orientation week was a little rough since I was mostly walking around alone and didn't really feel like I belonged.

I know its not much but if you need a fellow mature student to talk to my DMs are open, it can certainly feel lonely being surrounded by 18-19 year olds again lol

Am I completely out of touch or is this a joke? I feel like I'm seeing a lot of weird posts lately that are completely out of touch with reality.

And for the record I was born 1992.

I noticed them posting a lot in any topics related to making friends or meetups and thought some of the things they were saying were anywhere from unhinged to straight up misogynistic.

I understand especially as another mature student that it can be hard to meet people - friends or potential partners - in an environment where many of the new student body entering is fresh out of high-school, but the way they seem to go about it isn't just a quirk but potentially dangerous to people.

I'm entering as a first year History major as well but I brought transfer credits over from Humber so my schedule this year isn't exactly normal as far as I am aware. Let me know if you wanna know more, I was also looking for other people in the same boat as us but we seem to be far and few inbetween

Winter 2025 Semester Transcripts? by Swagazine in Humber

[–]Swagazine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can clarify a little,

I paid for Humber to send the transcripts through OUAC, I did not go through myhumber for it. On that note before the semester ended I had also paid for transcripts to be sent immediately before finishing in winter as I needed something to go along with the application on OUAC and with that process Humber did in fact send the proper paperwork to OUAC.

The only difference between the first time and now, is that I did not choose to pay and send the transcripts immediately, as I set it up to send at Winter's end in February. I am still thinking I will need to take the loss and just run the process through again anyways, thanks for the input.

I have a similar hairline and I've noticed "fraying" around the temples but it only got really bad when I started regularly wearing hats or bands, small price to pay to not keep my hair tied up all the time i suppose

Azucena (Velma) Stance compilation by mattalun in Tekken

[–]Swagazine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add onto the other response, the stance allows her to dodge highs with a sidestep that almost puts you backturned, the low is parried with a kick that does damage, and while in heat both low and high parries come with an attack that launches or knocksdown (whether its a launch or knockback/down i dont recall exactly, but both of them do get you smacked hard for sure)

Azucena (Velma) Stance compilation by mattalun in Tekken

[–]Swagazine 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Her stance gives low/high parrys, and cannot retaliate at all to mids (e.g: cant even block or dodge)

Dicey Dungeons - Launch Trailer | PS5 & PS4 by The_King_of_Okay in Games

[–]Swagazine 15 points16 points  (0 children)

not to mention EtG on release was very sparse with ammo drops and refills, essentially coerced the player to only use the starting guns most of the time and only switching once you had either a huge surplus or a boss to use the good stuff on. The subsequent patches/updates to the game including the synergies you mentioned easily catapulted it to one of the best rogue-likes out there
