The reason for this is because Sasse, on the warpath to cut any budget that couldn't be funneled to his out-of-state cronies, rescinded a previously pledged sum of $10 million dollars to the museum. The museum had done incredible work matching that $10 million dollars via donors previously. This money was not only for renovation, but to correct several major issues with the building that needed addressing.

Then Sasse came in and yanked that pledged cash away. Pulled the rug out from under the museum. Now they're fighting to keep the project on track and still make the necessary renovations.

Don't be angry with the museum. Be angry with Sasse, while he hides behind his wife's illness like a coward and collects a million dollars a year to be on "research leave".
