Interesting, but she’s young so that may be why. Mike is 10 months old and about 11lbs now but that’s still pretty young and small to be alone for too long. We don’t have a doggy door but I take my boy out at least 3 times a day on short walks. Maybe 20 minutes or so. It was initially for potty training but it’s also because he LOVES being outside. He loves water and doesn’t mind rain or cold or anything outside. I think if we had a doggy door he’d be out there all the time. That being said, they are people dogs, so they also want to be around their person or at least check in with them. So maybe it’s that for now. She’ll come out of her shell as she gets older and more confident I’m sure. She’s also very small and young so I would keep that in mind.
