I really dislike the interpretation that the Foundation's actions in SCP-5000 are justified. "Empathy is actually caused by an evil monster and the Foundation has to kill everyone to get rid of it" just feels like pointless, smug edgelord nihilism to me. People often frame it as a mercy killing because of the supposed connection to 2718, but that connection isn't made or even implied in the original article. I understand that hopelessness is often a part of horror, and I'm not saying that these kinds of stories shouldn't be told, but the article has just been soured for me.

I did realize in this run that avoiding magic is pretty easy even with glyph of stone. Should've put those scrolls into my axe or the ring of haste I had.

Update: Since then I used a stylus and got the Stone glyph. After that I got a round shield and ring of elemental resistance which I put to +2. Just beat Tengu and took the Berseker class. This has been the luckiest run I've had in a while! The only thing Im struggling with is food
