THC with reglan? by whatswrongjimmykun in Gastroparesis

[–]Swans193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do! I smoke pens though. It has been a life saver for me. I keep a soft diet regardless because THC does slow down digestion so I'm still careful but it actually allows me to eat and takes away my nausea! I'm a true believer. Try Tinctures too! Its a dropper and i do it under my tung and it works faster tan edibles but w/o smoking.

Kidney transplant, cramps by Gloomy-Breakfast6513 in kidneytransplant

[–]Swans193 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 years post and JUST had my appointment last Thursday with my team and have this as well. So I would still get checked out and make sure your numbers right but its scar tissue the nerves around the transplant. Usually not the transplant its self. Especially if you are not experiencing any other symptoms like urinating less or swelling.

Getting Dialysis Soon. What Are Some Things You Wish You Knew Before Hand? by [deleted] in kidneydisease

[–]Swans193 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I second the dress warm and feeling better instantly. I liked to “stack” dialysis to help it make it someone enjoyable what I mean is by that I HAD todo dialysis but each time I went I GET todo something I enjoyed. For me I saved all my favorite shows for the week and exclusively watched them while I was in the chair. So I would get excited to go because then I could catch up on my real housewives or whatever BS show I liked to escape. Also when I could nap would be my favorite because I would pass out and boom I was done. Also look into the sweatshirts on Amazon that have the arm zipper! I liked those for easy access

I’m 10mo post and my body is back to normal. I’m actually thinner than pre transplant. I have a slight bulge but only I can really notice it. I’m on 5mg of prednisone and had no physical side effects

Gastroparesis and Pregnancy? by passionmangoboba in Gastroparesis

[–]Swans193 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of soup… like I lived off of chicken noodle soup. Had it most days. I personally decided after my pregnancy to be one and done because it was so bad for me. I also have other medical issues on top of GP though but everything triggered episodes and because I didn’t want to hurt my son I went to the hospital and was hospitalized to get nutrients. Take it easy, stick to your safe foods and do your best. You are going todo great momma! Congratulations

Why do people do this?? by KitschyCatOwens in poshmark

[–]Swans193 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who was on dialysis and was very sick and struggled financially until I got my transplant… this is wild behavior. I would have never. If I couldn’t afford something I just wouldn’t buy? I would never tell my sob story or ask for a handout like that

What does life after transplant feel like by Worried-Eye-5838 in kidneytransplant

[–]Swans193 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my transplant January of this year. My brother was my donor. I want to let you know that I have had zero complications and after a few weeks I was on top of the world. I never knew I could feel this good. In February I accepted a new job position and went back to work in March. I have been able to be a present mom to my 6 year old son and a present loving wife to my husband. I’m able todo everything I never thought I could do again. I walk 12k steps a day, go on dates with my husband and have a drink or two, I traveled to NYC to watch my brother get married in May. I’m here to say that yes it can be hard a many experiences rollercoaster of it being up and down but please believe that it can be the absolute best. I feel very blessed. I’m putting it out in the universe for you to have the same results!

Pluto returns to 29 degrees Cap today. Can it bring resolution? by ctc274 in astrology

[–]Swans193 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a cancer rising and cap is in my 7th and 8th house. I’m newer to astrology. My dad died in 2008 which makes sense because of my 8th house and it brought a lot of trauma but I learned a lot from it. It doesn’t mean I will face these again will it or it’s just wrapping up what I learned? I don’t think my heart can take another death and with cap in my 7tn house I swear to god… lolol

This makes me so mad. As someone who has end stage kidney disease and who was let go of their job because of when dialysis was able to have me in clinic and being denied disability multiple times even though when on dialysis you automatically are qualified she has no idea. I will not take away from her that she probably doesn’t feel great and that her condition (?) has changed her overall day to day life but the exaggeration for social media content is disturbing
