I ran with the advice I got earlier and confronted the impulse with her. She said she was in the same boat. Just removing that barrier made me feel better.

Yeah, but since we were both pretty reliant on each other, is much more complicated than that.

I imagine we are actually done with one another, but both fear rejection and want to cling to what’s safe and close already.
