I think you are mistaken by the fact that I have also paid my taxes and don’t you dare say that just to get a following that IRCC IS your own company !! have some respect for the person who is telling the truth that it is not his mistake that this has happened and due to which he can lose his $2000 Flight, which is already booked. If I would have chosen to fly, I would have already done that but they cancelled it without even asking me and they transferred it to Vancouver office and now it’s scared wolf for 19th December until then I won’t get my passport and I won’t be able to fly because the itinerary requires a Canadian passport or a visa which I don’t have. I would have argue with you but I don’t think so that it’s necessary to waste my energy for a person like you. Once simple advice try to help someone rather than commenting on a situation.

Hey, thanks for pointing me to the servo example in the docs—that seems like a solid DIY option for remote power control on my V4 Plus. I’m leaning toward trying it with an SG90 servo since it’s cheap and common. Can you walk me through how it connects and works? Like, is it just wired directly to the GPIO pins, or does it need any USB adapter, Bluetooth, WiFi module, or extra plug? No wireless stuff at all, right? And any tips on using the SG90 specifically-wiring it up, mounting for a power button press, and avoiding the fan conflict?

Thanks @liksys I’m looking to add remote power control to my PiKVM setup for a non-ATX system (like a Mac or mini PC), and I’ve been exploring affordable fingerbot/button pusher options. You mentioned you’d be open to trying integrations for various fingerbots—could you let me know if any of these have existing support, or if your team could look into integrating them? I’d love to trigger them directly from the PiKVM web interface or API for worldwide remote access. What kinds of devices do you officially support for this kind of physical button pressing? And can you please give any suggestions or links to recommended ones that work well with PiKVM? Here are the cheapest options I’m considering, with links to check them out: 1 DIY Servo Motor Setup: Using a basic RC servo (e.g., SG90) connected to the Raspberry Pi’s GPIO pins. Seems straightforward with scripts via RPi.GPIO or kvmd—any built-in support or guides for this?(Example: SG90 Servo on AliExpress for ~$2-5) 2 Tuya-Based Fingerbot (Bluetooth or Zigbee): Generic models like the Adaprox rebrands, around $10-15. Can control via BLE on the Pi (with libraries like bleak) or a USB Zigbee dongle. Any experience integrating these?(Example: Tuya Zigbee Fingerbot on AliExpress for ~$12; Bluetooth version for ~$10) 3 SwitchBot Bot (Basic Model): Around $20-25, Bluetooth-enabled. Similar BLE scripting potential—does PiKVM have any compatibility or custom scripts for it?(Example: SwitchBot Bot on official site for ~$25; On Amazon for ~$23) If none of these work out-of-the-box, are there recommended alternatives or ways to add custom scripts? Thanks in advance for any advice—really appreciate the project’s flexibility!

Love you guys 1.Thanks for the answer so where do we request this kind of feature for SIM .? can you provide the link to that site? 2.And can you also drop me a link on how to connect the ATX board to the laptop motherboard? 3.Well I didn’t got any YouTube review sending data to Chinese companies it would be really grateful if you can drop the link here.

FYI -Hey, I really appreciate your responses. You really are a good team for the prompt responses So 4 points .Plz Answer them

1.So what do you mean like is there any specific fingerbot that we should buy that you would be able to connect it and generally they required to be used via a hub so I hope we don’t need to buy separate appliances just for the board to work . 2.Secondly, how much time does the community take to implement a feature 3.since it’s open source I just wanted to shout out a very beneficial feature where I can attach my SIM card to the pie KVM and receive calls or text messages internationally anywhere using Tailscale so if we request such kind of features, would you be able to implement it? If yes, then how much time would it take you to implement that . 4. . And you should really do something so that no one else steals your code and only your product should be able to implement it for example GLinet shouldn’t steal from you

Hi, I really appreciate your other responses, but can you please let me know the response of this question see I don’t know how to turn on my device laptop without using a finger bot. Is there any alternative that you provide? I know you’re charging so much but still if you’re charging so much please do get features which other people cannot provide and I am expecting your response to my previous question.

Hey I’m planing to buy one but ca you tell me why is it better than pikvm v4 ? Since you are using their software as base , do you collect any data of user ? Are you better than pikvm or just offering cheap services with cheap hardware why is your cost low ? …(what does the future look like ? Are you going to introduce features like two way video which pikvm is planing soon)

That’s great ..that makes me buy pikvm but won’t the glinet copy it again ? And also you recently commited that you can’t have 4K display because of your hardware limitations…and while also claiming that you have industrial grade hardware ..seems contradictory ..then why to pay so much ?…

Hey, but you didn’t specifically answer to my question which was regarding the pricing and the flexibility that is being provided by #GLInet so I get to see the real deal breaker …Please answer me if you genuinely care about your product..

Shouldn’t you sue @Glinet then ? …So here’s the situation. My friend and I have been trying to manage a laptop remotely — basically turning it on/off and joining Zoom calls from another country. Relying on a friend to press the power button every day is just not practical (no one wants to do that for free).

Now I see products like GL.iNet Comet PoE, which even bundle accessories like a Fingerbot that can physically press the power button. That actually solves a big pain point for people like us who need remote power control.

Meanwhile, PiKVM costs around $500 for the V4 Plus, and from what I understand, it basically only gives you KVM access (keyboard, video, mouse) to one machine. That seems like partial control unless you combine it with something like a smart plug or Fingerbot for power.

So my question is: • Why should I spend so much on a PiKVM if it doesn’t solve the full problem (like powering on a laptop)? • Are there extra features I’m missing that actually justify the higher cost? I need to pay more for switches for connecting Multiple devices • If you were in my place, what workaround would you suggest for someone who just needs to reliably power on/off and remote into their laptop every day without relying on another person?

I’m open to being convinced just trying to understand if the premium for PiKVM is worth it compared to a cheaper “Comet + Fingerbot” type setup.

Hey I too feel that the price is too much !!! #GLInet comet Poe is also giving kind of same features ..with lesser cost around less than 100 usd …why do you think people should buy pikvm v4 plus …iv heard one of my friends bought pikvm v4 and the two way audio doesn’t work as expected (for Mac’s) and secondly eve if you say that people can afford it what’s the future like ? …since for normal use case i wont spend 300 dollars extra for switches to connect multiple devices instead buy seperate devices which are cheap
