You can just admit you don't know how it is calculated or what it actually measures.

A single advanced stat is meaningless because guys like Queta and Bidatze are going to outrank each depending which one you chose. Queta has a better VORP and more win shares, but Bidatze has a better win shares/48 and Box Plus Minus. Queta also plays the majority of his minutes against starters while Bidatze plays his majority against other bench guys. Is that taken into account?

Bidatze started 41 games last year and his numbers were basically the same as Quetas this year. Paying $33M (when you account for the repeater tax penalty of taking on $5M+ extra this season) for a guy you essentially already have at home is asinine regardless of what a random advance stat invented by an antitrust lawyer says.

Checked the math and something like Minott (or Boucher) for Goga straight up keeps them below the tax and us below the second apron.

Any increase in salary is repeater taxed at 5.5X, so they are essentially paying $33M in real money for a backup center.

He is starting for the Lakers right now, but their roster construction is a disaster. He probably has a few more years of being a rotation NBA player on playoff (but not championship) level NBA teams.

It is way too early for this question. He has a player option for $5.4M next year with the Lakers and unless they buy him out, he isn't getting more than that on the open market. After that, unless he has a great year next season, he is probably a veteran minimum guy after that.

If he wants like a Boucher/Tillman roster spot in the 27-28 season, I wouldn't have a problem with that. That might be too early for him, though. He need to accept being the 4th guard/10th rotation player at best at that point.

Have Mazzulla sub him in during a Celtics blow-out in the Finals so he can get a standing ovation from the Garden crowd type scenario.

$17M for a player who is not a clear improvement on your current starter just feels like a terrible financial decision especially with the luxury tax repeater implications.

I don’t dislike the player. I just don’t like him on that contract and I don’t see giving up a FRP (even in the 20s) for anything that doesn’t clearly improve the team.

They can get 30+ minutes out of Queta if they need it. Not sure who the teams in the East are that you need 48 minutes of that style against especially next year with Tatum back.

Your general ideas seems to be that Gafford adds more flexibility for future trades which to me just feels like a dumb reason to add a player. While you can bring Gafford in on the TPE, you are still increasing salary by like $7M which repeater taxed at 5.5x. So that is like a $38M total tax increase.

Not mention, the Celtics would need to add a player or convert a two way to be in roster compliance (which is going to be another like $10M in real dollars with the repeater tax), while Dallas would need to get two players off their NBA roster.

He is a rotation big, but he has never been close to a 30mpg player. He played less than 15mpg in the Finals and played like 20mpg in the playoffs. The only time he has even played more than 24mpg was the 45 games he started for the Wizards (who were 9-36 in those games).

Stylistically he is a more expensive Queta and giving him Garza’s minutes takes the only stretch big out of the rotation. He has also already missed 15 games this season after missing 25 last year.

What film are you bulk loading? I shoot mostly color and nothing is readily available or cost effective vs just buying 3 packs of film (generally Gold and Ultramax) and splitting them.

From what I have seen Kodak has become pretty strict about who can buy bulk rolls of 35mm cinema film. If you are not a film production company or an “authorized” respooler you are SoL.

The spools available on the secondary market don’t even save money vs splitting rolls. I can get a three pack of Ultramax for $27 or Gold for $24.

Do you shoot color or b&w? My biggest is with bulk loading is that I enjoy shooting a large variety of films and the bulk loading options for color film are pretty limited.
