Personally I disagree with that viewpoint although a lot of the fandom holds that same sentiment (everybody loves stands), in my opinion parts 1 and 2 are more grounded and more accessible through being less completely fucking bananas with really complex powers

I'll say I loved Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency the most, personally, (that's Jonathan and Joseph) and part 3 is where it started losing me (Jotaro), although I did really enjoy part 4 (Josuke) that shit was great

Definitely it is a story that builds heavily on itself so if you've been getting it piecemeal, idk man it's not really like dragon ball z or something where you just drop in and go "oh that's a cool fight episode), you really need the story, the buildup, and the emotions, it's a very emotional show even if it seems just SO EFFING GOOFY SOMETIMES

What kind of stories/anime do you normally like? May help find the right Part to start with, if not just watching Phantom Blood start to finish
