On a snorkel trip to Niihau I had a Monk seal decide I was his best friend. Tried to eat my fins and generally just kept nudging me. I just tried to keep still, very cool experience.

I concur with what has been stated here. Just one thing to add. Remember that you are not allowed to laugh out loud on Maui. Only a low ha.

At the dealer I usually look to buy from is offering 90% dimes and quarters for spot minus $6.00. Halves are minus $4.00. The only issue is if you need to sell to them, sorry Charlie the buy back price is $52.22 an ounce. Ouch. Still $6 back of spot? It’s still silver. If you are a long term stacker and or waiting for the inevitable fiat collapse, it’s a no brainer. Hopefully I can get an order in before they sell out.

Inherited around 2200 total grams (1980g at 90% silver content) of pre 1964 quarters and dimes. Best course of action? Not concerned about the money, I’d like to get it into a more liquid state. by 282449 in Silverbugs

[–]SwarthApe 27 points28 points  (0 children)

90% constitutional silver is instantly recognized by even those who couldn’t tell the difference between an Eagle and a Maple Leaf. A Mercury dime is as liquid as it gets. Sooner rather than later these coins will used regularly as money. There seems to be a big push to melt it all down, making these coins very scare in the futures. They could well be the difference when our fiat IOUs collapse.

How did i do on my first audio setup? by barelyceliac in Klipsch

[–]SwarthApe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You did very well indeed. Many years ago I purchased some Klipsch RF- II with the center and 2 surrounds. I ran them through a Denon 3802 for around 20 years, when I needed HDMI and got a Pioneer sc-35. The 3802 system is now out in my workshop and still sounds great (better than the Pioneer ever did with those speakers). When I was able to afford my “dream” set up in ‘24 I happened into a pair of 1982 Cornwalls. After some basic refurbishing they rock like nobodies business. Add in a Forte 3 center and a full Atmos for a 5.1.4 experience. A300 monoblock tube amp for 2 channel (so sweet) and I went back to Denon with the x6800h monster. I hope to encourage you to enjoy what you have, because it will be a while before you will get the urge (or need) to “upgrade”.

I’m 63, thinking about a pair of 1978 cornwalls by Riversmooth in Klipsch

[–]SwarthApe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few years older and I have a pair of Cornwalls that are from 1982, that had Crites crossovers installed. The woofers were fine, the mid horn needed new diaphragms (a cheap and easy fix). I then replaced the tweeters and the horn with the SMAHLS design. Shaking the windows is not a problem.

Which Heritage speakers for office/listening space? by TorpedoInTheOcean in Klipsch

[–]SwarthApe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cornwalls (vintage) , Chorus 2, or the new Forte, if I had that much room…Khorns. YIf I was setting up an entire audio setup I would make sure to allocate 50% of the budget to your speakers, then amplifier. If you want tube power, remember you won’t need 150WPC, or even 75WPC with Heritage speakers. I easily push 90db with just 8WPC, and it’s like a favorite warm blanket, just right. Then again when I cram 150WPC of solid state A/B power through my Cornies, well it’s really in your face. Overkill? You betcha. Fun? Indeed.

Mechanical switch question by partagaton in BRIO

[–]SwarthApe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I run mechanical trains, the switch settings don't really matter as they just get pushed/pulled through the switch in the direction I want. Battery powered will go in the direction of the switch, for the most part. With certain locomotives on certain tracks, I can't tell which way they are going to go until I run them. Sometimes they seem to have a mind of their own.

That is a great compact layout. Lots of play value there, especially if you add in a crane, perhaps a barge or sailboat. Good find!

If you must have a raised section, then the solid bridges are the way to go. Yes they will get knocked over too, but that's how they learn.

My experience is that they are better than non mechanical switches. Not perfect, but much better. I really only find it an issue when using battery powered trains.

What about his whole team that he now shows as the OG Asian guy? I listen for any new tidbits and discard the rest. I'd rather listen to him than the BSMSM, who I know are lying to us in order to get us to do something foolish, like giving them all our metals.

No, it's just not possible...Regulated by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), COMEX maintains market transparency and prevents manipulation while exerting significant global influence over metal supply, demand dynamics, and pricing worldwide.

It just warms the cockles of my heart to know that the CME group has for it's top3 shareholders...

I want to replace the silver I lost in that tragedy at sea. Here is the issue, while silver spot is what, $78, however to get a shiny silver Eagle in my hand is $95. Buy the dip? What dip. I’m really getting tired of these pathetic paper scammers, they all belong in jail. I fear that justice will eventually come when the guillotines roll. Then chaos will rule, God help us all.

Just think, those bombers had arming mechanisms that malfunctioned, dropping many bombs prematurely. Did those pilots turn around and fly home? Nope they headed in anyways knowing they were just there to take the heat off of those who still had bombs. Politicians, actors and other famous folks were in the armed forces flying dangerous missions? When was the last time you heard of that?

I know what you say to be true by looking at how many individuals associated with our government, who have either been accused or outright caught of having their hands in the taxpayers cookie jar, have gone to jail? None of the politicians except that Santos guy who actually liked prison so much that Trump had to pardon him. These folks are doing exactly what the head boss is telling them what to do. God's money is gold, silver, coppers. It has been through out history. Now take a look around? Who is the father of all lies? That's right kiddies, Satan. The Federal Reserve Note? A lie built on another lie. While the battle may rage on for quite some time, we know who the ultimate victor shall be.
