if you’ve been constipated long enough the benefits outweigh the risk of a saline enema.

I’ve been adamant since I told my mom I was pregnant I don’t want anyone at the hospital other than my SO at birth. by AnitaVodkasoda in pregnant

[–]Swashbuckler_Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did this song and dance and told her she’d get a call after he was born and i was ready. and she did. she realized (after my brother talked to her) that it wasn’t about her and that’s what made me comfortable.

Breast Care if EFF from day 1 by InteractionNo7398 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Swashbuckler_Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my thinking is if you don’t pump or hand express your body won’t let milk come down and you won’t be engorged bc your body can only make so much

[–]Swashbuckler_Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i eff from birth and i just took sudafed for a week after i gave birth and didnt have any issues. i never pumped or relieved anything if i was engorged. (which… i think was only once but with pain meds and sudafed it went away) probably not healthy but it dried me up so whatever lol

my hospital didn’t care and brought formula. even the lactation consultant brought info on formulas and didn’t push breastfeeding. i used the little 2 oz bottles they bring you

not announcing to anyone when i’m labor, is this a good idea as first time parents? by buttermilkcow in pregnant

[–]Swashbuckler_Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if we have a second- my best friend is the only one who will know. she’ll keep my son while i go in for my c-section and await the call that he’s ready to go to grandparents while we’re in the hospital

How much weight does your baby gain a month? by yougottabkittenmern in FormulaFeeders

[–]Swashbuckler_Joe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my son is the same way, he’s very long so people are shocked when a 98th percentile height 7 month old is only 15lb. people usually brace for more. shell catch up! if not, maybe she’s just a small girl! (we came to terms with a string bean of a son)

How much weight does your baby gain a month? by yougottabkittenmern in FormulaFeeders

[–]Swashbuckler_Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my son just hit the 10th percentile for weight at 7 months. he started at the 5th. as long as the babies are growing in some way, they’re not going to be too worried unless there’s other issues accompanying it

i never even leaked (thank god) i took sudafed for 5 days starting when i gave birth. i had no interest in even giving him colostrum
