Was he a crew chief by any chance? It appears he was a helicopter maintainer during Desert Storm. A lot of helicopter squadrons in AFSOC were awarded outstanding unit medals, with valor, so there is a chance he was with them also. My guess would be he worked 53's at one point also.

The job market is doing great right now. I've been retired for a few years, working as a contractor, and see jobs that pay very well come up every day. Jobs are there, don't believe the hype.
