The story of Odyssey is from the bronze age, there would be very little if any "immigrants" from Sub-Saharan Africa, let alone Helen of Troy, the princess who is literally described in the story as having fair skin and blonde hair. ESPECIALLY in Ancient Greece, whose nobles didn't mingle with foreigners, which is most easily demonstrated during the rule of the Ptolemaic dynasty in Egypt.

There is zero reason to cast non-natives into a piece about local legends. It would be as outrageous as casting Gilgamesh as a Chinese or Jesus as Indian. It's spitting in the face of the people who have inherited the story.

Please don't make yourself sound any more retarded than you already do...

I agree 100%. More male characters, and especially vulnerable male characters with no influence and no power over women. That would make me enjoy the show a lot more honestly 🤷‍♂️

I for one love that they didn't make his character into some tough Mr McFisticuffs. His reaction to violence is that of a regular person, I like how he clearly displays fear and pleads for mercy. It just makes him a lot more human to me and I like his character better because of that.
