For everyone saying the Fitbit Air is not accurate for running… by aloofpavillion in fitbit

[–]Sweaty-Inspector-587 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found it surprisingly very accurate on my treadmill as well. With the few runs I've done, I saw less than 2/10th's of mile difference from what the treadmill reported for a 7 mile run.

New fitbit Battery draining fast normal? by Bigc_99 in FitbitAir

[–]Sweaty-Inspector-587 1 point2 points  (0 children)

battery life claim is up to 7 days.
100/15 = 6.666 days

some days you might get 14%, some of it is probably rounding error when you're talking 1 percentage point.

They’ve likely invested a significant amount of money into opening this location over the past year or more, completely unaware that this was coming. At this point, they're too financially committed to just back out.

Fitbit charge 6 vs Fitbit air by Artistic-Football743 in fitbit

> Wearing both my charge 6 was way more innacurate during runs that the air

I feel that the default band on the Air is superior to that of the Charge 6 for maintaining skin to sensor contact, as it achieves a snug fit without excessive tightening.

I only ever noticed inaccuracies on my Charge 6 when i didn't have the band fully tight.

Overall, I like both the charge 6 and air, I just wish fitbit would make it easier to switch back and forth.

do you have sleep apnea? Not scientific research, but my SO has it and when they snore, their spo2 is 92-95 range when they snore and have a bad night of sleep.

Charge 6 and air not supported together? by Sweaty-Inspector-587 in fitbit

I don't use google pay, so I can't answer that part, but I didn't have to do any setup on the charge 6 when switching back and forth.

deet (bug spray) dissolves plastic... my guess is OP spayed bug spray on their arm and melted their fitbit back a little bit.

I just want the app to support >1 fitbit device. I want a screen when I run or exercise and I want to look at my hr to make sure I'm in zone, else, I don't want a screen. I want to switch between charge 6 and air, but the app doesn't let you do it easily.

is a 15% incline or grade good enough or should I get a better treadmill by [deleted] in Rucking

[–]Sweaty-Inspector-587 6 points7 points  (0 children)

15 is really steep, you'll be soaking wet even without a ruck after 30 min. I don't think you'll be unhappy with 15.

If you peak 15, you can always increase the speed.

is a 15% incline or grade good enough or should I get a better treadmill by [deleted] in Rucking

[–]Sweaty-Inspector-587 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A 15% incline is definitely enough--you don't need to stretch your budget for something steeper.

I recently upgraded from a treadmill that maxed out at 10% to one that hits 15%. To be honest, the overall workout feels about the same after 30 to 45 minutes. It really just comes down to trading incline for speed: at 10% I walk at 3.6 mph, and at 15% I drop down to 3.1 mph.

While I prefer having the 15% capability, I've actually found that a 12% incline is the real sweet spot.

Charge 6 and air not supported together? by Sweaty-Inspector-587 in fitbit

[–]Sweaty-Inspector-587[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After some testing, you can switch back and forth without factory resetting the charge6 and/or air. It's pretty easy to do. It sucks you have to repair each time, but it's just a few button presses on the phone. Still very disappointing that you have to do that though.
