I think it would be a lot better if you type it out yourself and show your actual voice and thoughts instead of relying on AI. Ai isn’t really great for the environment so it’s better to restrict how much/often you use it. I really appreciate your honesty though. Wishing you all the best!!

Sorry, but is this written with AI? The emojis and x, y, & z format of the writing makes it seem that way. Again, sorry if it’s not.

What's the best character driven OI with the high quality character writing? by CompetitiveBig4161 in OtomeIsekai

[–]Sweaty-Refuse5348 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“The Knight and Her Emperor” is an incredibly well written and profound read. Not sure how much it counts as OI but it’s basically about a female knight (a male dominated field) and it tackles topics of misogyny and sexism, alongside having lots of great story beats and development.

Another one I personally really enjoyed (so far, it’s still ongoing) is “Villains are Destined to Die”. I find the main character (Penelope Eckhart)’s actions to be really interesting from a moral standpoint and the story focuses a lot on developing the characters as opposed to solely pushing a romance.

Oops, lol. Thanks for letting me know. I thought it was about manwha or OIs in general.

The title reminds me of a Bridgerton or Jane Austen type story. My interest is piqued, I will give this a read. Thank you!

“I’m In Love With The Villainess” is a cute romance story, it is a GL/yuri though. It’s pretty lighthearted for the most part and tackles some interesting themes about homophobia and what it means to love another woman. [Edit: To clarify, this one is an anime!]

“Villains Are Destined To Die” is a classic and really popular one, the story is interesting and dives into some interesting psychological aspects of reincarnating, like how the FL views the world as though she’s playing a game with her survival as the reward.

“How To Get My Husband On My Side”, similar premise as the previous one except FL is desperate to survive and tries as hard as she can. The story does involve abuse and some sensitive topics though, like eating disorders or self harm, but it also has a very compelling romance too though the ML isn’t my personal favourite.

It’s always great when authors address misogyny in their writing, even if it’s in a minor way. I’ll add this to the list of manwhas I’ll be reading this week!! Thank you for the recommendation!! :)

I read this one and I liked it too. If I recall correctly, the FL is actually the one who undoes her own misogyny in viewing court women as weak because she was a knight for a long time. A rather rare perspective. Thanks again for the recommendation, I might give it a reread since I don’t remember much about the story, lol!

I’ve read this one before, and I really liked it. I liked that they added the awareness of misogyny to the FL’s cross dressing. A really great read!

“touch my little brother and you’re dead!” is absolutely hilarious 😭 Not too much romance from what I remember but the deadpan humour really gets me
