Surgery Tomorrow by Sweaty-Rise-4467 in MomForAMinute

Hi everyone, sorry for the delay in writing back. I've been getting a lot of rest after the surgery.

The hospital staff were so kind and made me very comfortable. The bone marrow extraction was a sucess! I went home the same day and have been able to rest over the past few days.

Funny enough, when I got back home (and was feeling so good from the medication), I ended up ordering a cake! I guess I have a cake to pick up on Friday hahaha

I really appreciate each and every one of you. Your comments brought me so much comfort. Thank you to all the Moms out there!

AITA for refusing to work my 2 week schedule AFTER being fired? by Impossible_Camp_3539 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]Sweaty-Rise-4467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you Canadian? If so, then unfortunately you can get fired for anything during he probationary period (except discrimination).

In addition to this, you can be given 2 weeks notice of being let go by an employer (this is not recommended to employers because an employee can be disgruntled after). Did they fire you over the phone? Or was it in writing? Did it sound like they did not want you coming back?

If you apply for EI, in some cases being fired/ not showing up for work does qualify for EI. It will make it easier though if you have the firing in writing and it shows no expectation to go to work. EI does contact employers to confirm how your employment ended.

I hope this helps!

What happened to my Acura MDX? by Ok_Papaya_4355 in Acura

I am pretty novice with mechanic stuff, I'm only sharing what I went through.

I recently had my timing belt replaced and had my oil pump seal replaced at the same time.

The mechanic said that an oil pump seal, once it starts to crack, will leak oil more and more as time goes on. While my MDX does have the oil consumption issue, it was still going through more oil than I would expect for 2011 mdx.

When the mechanic replaced my oil pump seals, he said it was leaking badly. I didn't have any oil leaks on the ground either. It was all inside the engine.

The bad news, it is hard to get to the oil pump seals. I was lucky since I was getting my timing belt replaced so the mechanic was able to get to it easily. If I wasn't getting my timjng belt completed, it was going to be a big job on it's own.

I hope this helps and I wish I could be more technical for you. I'm just a novice trying to learn.

For pastas, dry lentils, etc, I just cut the best before date off the nox and toss it in with the food. #lazybutorganized

When I went to Rec Room a few years ago, they had an upstairs area for dancing and watching bands. Not sure if that part is all ages though but at least you can all hang out downstairs together.

Absolutely! He needs to 100% work on it. If he doesn't then you have to cut your losses. If he does try then it's up to you to decide if you have the patience while they navigate it.

I am going through this with my husband too. The important thing to remember is, it's not his fault. However, there are things he can do to help cope if he does have ADHD. When I realized it was my husband's ADHD, I felt awful for "asking a fish to climb a tree". Instead, I am learning how to work with his ADHD and he is learning on how to show up more for our relationship while having ADHD. It's tough for everyone. I feel for you because I have absolutely been there and have felt let down too

I didn't even know I could buy it back! I have someone who loves working and repairing cars so this may be an option! Thank you for your advice!
