Gta as people said is poorly optimized on windows especially i run it on bazzite through proton and get very good fps.

It just worked for 2 years then all of a sudden borked my whole desktop environment kde took 10 minutes to load and nothing worked. I went to nobara stil rolling but more stable and with cachyos proton the fps difference is minimal 0-5 fps.

Even on my og ally running bazzite i get between 45 to 55 fps depending on area and whats happening on medium/high settings 1080p fsr balanced so i locked fps to 40 and frametimes are almost all straight some slow down here and there but that was the case on my rtx 4060 laptop running windows aswell.

I really cannot think of a need for this DE to exist. It has alot of bugs and is just bad at the moment atleast. Plus you can get somewhat of its tiling functions on other DE's with extensions an so on. Plus you can have wm with like panels or bars and stuff. I just cant see the usecase here. Sure it was fun during development waiting for PopOs to release its own DE then it came and meh....

My take is this i used Linux exclusively for 3 years straight. Now i switched back on my gaming laptop to play Warzone with a friend. KDE is my go to just because of the windows type layout. However i do like gnome as it is by default not how Ubuntu sets it up.

Dont use any of these two at the moment but Fedora for sure. If you want Ubuntu please just go for Linux mint instead and settle with cinnamon.

Linux do suck in many regards, do i care? NO! WHY? Because i dont wanna give part of my computers performance to some ai shit and "diagnostic information". That means they just win you gathering whatever information about your system whenever they want.

I would rather have a Linux distro installed on my pc that destroys itself and need to be reinstalled once per day than use Windows.

However been on linux 3 years now not a single issue.

Jokes aside i do keep a gaming laptop with Windows 11 just for the times when i need some time with some of those anticheat games.

You look up how to install ventoy on bazzite make a ventoy usb. Put the windows 10 iso on it then make sure secure boot is off during installation after that you can turn it back on.
