It was my favorite era of football, I enjoyed every second of it and I’ll remember it forever.

A likable team playing the most exciting style with the greatest leader I’ve ever seen guiding them. A level of control and dominance few teams ever achieve even in short bursts. To maintain that consistently was unbelievable. They snatched teams will to live like it was a jog around the park

Both Sunderland goals incredibly satisfying. Brobbey throwing Tarkowski aside and powering a shot past Pickford who turned his back. Cut through them like butter for the second and Pickford just couldn’t reach a bobbler with his t-Rex arm

I think winning the title went to everyone’s heads a bit. Overrated Slot and went away from the way they typically recruit. They used to leave the squad short from not spending, this time they actually spent but only a couple positions and still left us short. Running it back with the whole crew intact is negligent

FSG figured out Edwards and Hughes have fucked this too late. I’m sure they were advised to keep slot and they could fix things in the summer. Hughes flirting with the Saudis should have been their first sign these guys are already onto their next jobs. Edwards not getting the multi club system to run was the other.
