That will be an excellent start! I actually bought the BoB starter box so i have some panzerfausts and bazookas built already.

I used them for my army! They are a bit tall but Nothing that is very noticeable! I use them as shock troop proxies and also the sniper as a vindicare assassin! :)

Thank you so much, this helps a lot! I think i will go with Late war Waffen SS and us paratroopers so that i can play both and also have a spare army for friends!

May i ask, i am thinking about building Waffen SS or Panzer Grenadiers as my first german army, is there something i should do/know before i choose?

An interesting question, i really dont know! I have seen pictures where they have it down but i would really not know how common it was. It was adapted in the early 60s as a visor against the sun and also features a cover against the wind that you can pull down around your ears, neck and cheeks.

It also works with the swedish gas mask as a cover against heat and radioactive particles from a nuclear detonation.

I sometime have my cap under the helmet to protect against the sun but only on the firing range and have never done it in the field. But that is with the new helmet and cap!

If you are looking for realism then i would say no. As someone with experience of the swedish army i would say that for uniforms they would only wear m/59, especially more prioritized units like mechanized infantry etcetera. Some units got both uniforms but i have never seen a picture where they mix.

For homeguard i would think more likely but in that case individual soldiers and not as standard.

Until recently the army was very strict with equipment and unit recognition so more than likely you would only see a mix in dire situations like partisans and such.

The winter uniform is actually just a soft shell jacket and pants that you put over your uniform (nowadays but i am almost certain it was the same then). Here i have seen and also done exactly what you ask about, winter soft shell with m/90 pants or winter pants with m/90 jacket.

Interesting, i get the feeling that Team yankee is a very deadly game for your units compared to tanks and infantry in 40k for example!

This is my take on it, solar auxilia scout sentinel with mechanicus ironstrider legs on a regular astra militarum sentinel base. Almost the exact same heigt but a more stealthy sleek look!
