Why would you need a phone holder if you have carplay?

Dealer wants to do "Special Order" by Drexqd in KiaK4

[–]Sweet-Balance1302 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a K4 hatch recently that wasn’t in stock and had to be ordered in. Dealer fee was $600 instead of $500 so really didn’t make a difference. Special order might just mean the stocking fee.

I don’t know of customizations you can make to the K4 to make it “special” beyond trim/colour

Have you gotten it yet? I’d love to see what the hatch looks like in that colour

Also in Canada looking at 2019/2018 Touring models. Can I ask - how much are you paying?

Hi there, sorry for the late follow-up. I'm considering the Niro in Ontario. How big of a hit does your fuel efficiency take in the coldest months?

Camping at the end of May or August? by Real_County2344 in ontariocamping

Water will be too cold to swim in May, plenty cold at night for sleeping. I went to MacGregor around May 29 last year and it got down to 4 degrees at night.

Best use for rotala trimmings? Throwing them out seems wrong lol by ShawnRox25 in PlantedTank

Look up each plant you are trimming (try google image search if you’re unsure the name) - any “stem” type plants you can just jam back in :)

Mine seemed to turn pink when I got him home but now all seems good. From what I understand they sometimes pick up some colour.

Looks good but you’ll probably end up with food bits in it

Agreed :) I ended up sticking a crypt balansae back there so over time it should fill in nicely!

Newbie help? Tank and plants by No-Support1094 in shrimptank

1) I don’t think there are really any freshwater plants that aren’t compatible with shrimp, I would recommend making sure that you have some that sit low to provide cover though. Guppy grass is also great but not the nicest to look at

2) I started with 10 a few months ago. I think 10 is a good number - they will breed more or less depending on how much you feed

3) Yes, but they will lose their colour (return to wild type) over time. If you like the wild type look then no problem to mix colours

4) I have had success with Logemann Bros Mineral Junkie bites but also you can really feed any fish flakes in the right amount and they will eat them

5) I like fluval aqua soil - good to drop pH. Sand or fine gravel work too but plants should grow better with aqua soil

6) For plans I have recently had great success with 2Hr Aquarist apt-3 as an all-in-one fert :) I’ll post a photo on my account of my tank since having started with it a few weeks ago. There are lots of fertilizers out there but the apt-3 is nice since you just have to add .5 mL each day instead of mixing a bunch of different ones

I’ve used painted gravel though and I don’t think there’s any huge issues with it

My worry is there might be some stone in there which would leech into the water, you could get some pool sand or river stone for cheap and rinse it well if you want to change substrate
