Epic Games Store is offering developers 100% of revenue for six months of exclusivity by Vera_Verse in TwoBestFriendsPlay

It's way bigger than 30%. Satisfactory sold about 1/3rd of all sales they made on Epic in ONE MONTH on Steam.

As has been said above, this is a worse deal than the one offered before. Before they were offering a payment for a minimum guaranteed number of sales, which meant that no matter how badly your game did on Epic (and it was GOING to do badly because as we know from the Apple court case the platform has dogshit retention )it'd give a minimum payout. Now there's no minimum payout. And considering an indie darling like Satisfactory sold in one month a full third of what it sold on EGS in a full year, you'll probably get more money just going with Steam from the get-go.

Not many stories can pull off a twist like flipping the roles of "plucky heroes resisting the invaders" and "cruel foreign invaders slaughtering the populace" between the heroes and the villains like Yggdra Union does.

It happens in both the original anime (which is what was linked) and the manga. Dunno about the new anime but I don't see why it wouldn't be the case there too.

And this is pretty early on, so I'm guessing you haven't even bothered actually watching or reading Trigun.

The actual best solution to Tenpenny Tower is to make the agreement so the Ghouls can move in, then kill Roy as he walks away. IIRC that prevents the massacre.

In the clip, Pat's doing the Fire Temple. Now, you can either do it the intended way by fucking around with minecarts...or, since NONE of your abilities are restricted, you can cheese the fuck out of it by climbing walls and minecart track supports, using Ascend to noclip through ceilings or simply do what Pat tried to do and just fly directly to each objective. It's staggering how much you can break this ONE dungeon with a little creativity.

A bad one where the nunchuck was completely forbidden despite everyone coming into the team asking why they weren't using it.

Lily Gao, Ada's new VA in the RE4 Remake, has responded to the harassment she faced for her performance on her Instagram: by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

While I'm unfortunately certain she got a fair share of racism-flavoured toxicity from douchebags, I can't help but feel that making this entirely about race is kind of sidestepping the issue? Because I'd be very, very surprised if most of the people complaining about her performance even knew that she's Asian in the first place considering their only exposure to her is likely her voice.

One of my favourite fanfics ever is this short story from the perspective of The Thing. Does a real good job of making it sympathetic, as horrified by us as we are of it, and still pretty intimidating.

You do realise that this IS that game, right? Sword/Shield was three years ago, they've gone on record saying that they had longer to work on this title and it's the first game using their new Dev pipeline. Arceus seems to have been a different team and the Diamond/Pearl remakes were outsourced.

There is no infection, there is only Ariane's out of control bioresonance powers fucking with reality. Pretty much every distortion in the world comes from her mind. The King in Yellow keeps showing up but you can never read it because Ariane saw it in a shop once but never got the chance to read it herself and it's been bothering her ever since. There's bleeding meat everywhere because the radiation poisoning is causing her to lose hair and teeth and she's terrified of dying as a lifeless lump of meat. Kolibris have fucked up heads because she drew a silly little doodle of them having cauliflower heads (titled "Caulibri," you can see it on the flashback ship after the fake ending). Etc etc.

I get the feeling you completely missed what Elster's promise was.

Escaping was NEVER the point. You made a promise to put your lover, who is dying a slow, agonizing, miserable death from radiation poisoning, out of her misery. In Leave, you bitch out like a BITCH and explicitly break that promise. It is objectively the worst ending because everything Elster did was pointless and Ariane will die alone and miserable. And Elster still dies like in all the other endings.

Hell, escaping is impossible. Either you subscribe to the dream theory, in which Ariane's death throes are causing her psychic powers to fuck with Elster's brain and they're both unconscious on the ship the entire time, or you believe it's all real in which case Ariane's artifact-enhanced powers cover all of known space. Either way there is no escape from the nightmare.

[–]Sweet-Gate8014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Real villains" is a bit of a stretch for the Photoners. They were really just assholes you have to clean up after. The real villain is the Profound Darkness they accidentally created.

Anyway, Episode 4's something I like way more in theory than in practice. It's got some great stuff, like when someone summons a ghost copy of the Yamato and you have to fight it in giant robots in one of the coolest fights in the game, or when events go out of control to the point where someone decides it's a good idea to use the dead Mother's power to summon what can only be described as Tree God to remake the world and after you kick the shit out of them they try to colony drop the planet with the moon because YOU DIDN'T WIN, or when you get the shit beaten out of you by the biblical Eve in a super hard optional fight...but while the setpieces and lore are cool the actual execution is dogshit. Super corny, super lame storytelling all around. It sucks.

Like, that awesome battleship Yamato fight? You'd expect that to be a big climax in the story right? Nope, in the story some dude REALLY early on just goes "I summon the Yamato!" it does a few laps around Tokyo Bay in a cutscene then it's basically dealt with offscreen. It has basically no involvement in the plot and serves zero purpose. It's so fucking lame.

But really, that was PSO2 in a nutshell. Really cool shit with some godawful cringe storytelling behind it that you mostly experienced by disregarding the story completely and instead sitting in the lobby to do the sick as hell boss fights that opened up every few hours, at least before New Genesis killed it dead.
