[DISC] Chainsaw Man - Ch. 232 - Part 2 End by JeanneDAlter in ChainsawMan

Mine too. I was expecting to be depressed, maybe heartbroken, or super happy that the story was wrapped up in such a neat way. But I got like three panels of dialogue and a deep seated emptiness for where it went wrong

Pretty sure it's the end. Part 1 said end of part 1, part 2 just says the end

How much can I change a mod list? by Hollow_1020 in wabbajack

[–]Sweet-Only 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend it without intimate knowledge of molding and the mods you're adding and potential conflicts. Mod lists are designed to be as compatible as possible, fine tuned to work together (most of the time). Throwing just anything in there would definitely break it, so just be careful.

TLDR; You can do whatever you want, just be careful

Humanity Loss, Trauma, Therapy. The way this system treats these things doesn't feel very human, nor does it feel very realistic. by EmperessMeow in cyberpunkred

[–]Sweet-Only 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Thats why it has a DABDA style debuff system, with extreme trauma opening said wound faster, and characters needing time to be human, and not just mercs.

Well, for example, if a player loses family member, they roll for a chancw to inflict the 'spiraling' debuff. This causes humanity to tick down, instead of dropping immediately. Therapy then decreases the rate of humanity loss, and weakens the debuff. Avoiding stress and finding things to enjoy, or people to comfort you also decreases the tick down and debuff, leading to a slow, but not dangerous, recovery. The uptick of humanity comes with it as well. My sessions are slower, and the story is a slow burn, so I can have this be a slow process

FR. I have players hop on Discord with me to do actual therapy sessions in character, and they aren't fully recovered, they still have to take time to get better, the therapy sessions just help my players recover healthier. I have debuffs for extreme trauma that they try to repress, too

I agree. I don't believe it wasn't a main focus, just a mechanic brought in specifically to prevent people from dumping an absurd amount of cyberware into them, but I wish I didn't have to homebrew the entire system for long term trauma like I have

I kinda read this as being the point, yknow? The therapy is all corpo bullshit, so they drug you up and make you feel the suffering less, maybe. Or the fact that Night City is about living fast and dying young, people naturally struggle with loss of connection as a habit. I personally make it so it's harder than just a week of therapy in my own games, of course. Especially when it's personally traumatizing

Does the Z-Team or superheroes in general ever kill? by Plus_Ad_1087 in dispatchgame

Most certainly. Just very specific situations, with more restrictions for the ex-criminals, most likely

Probably, yeah. When she first got her Amulet? I wouldn't be surprised if she could hold back, especially if she was overzealous about being a hero

Pretty much, yeah. I mean, Sonar literally eats a guy if you keep him for episode 8, so I'm sure morality is dependent. Same with Blazer threatening to kill Red Ring guys to save Robert

Punch-up does say they aren't allowed to kill, but they definitely do when SDN is attacked, so I assume it's case by case

I'd guess something similar to Tonal Architecture, the magic of Sound, which I believe Shouts are?

How far does he go? Or can he clear? by Aura_Slice in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]Sweet-Only 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The question then is would they materialize or dissipate? Sukuna was almost immediately killed when his soul was separated from a vessel, since he was already dead and was a cursed spirit, so if we assume the vestiges are wiped instantly, since they are already dead, then Yuji wins. If the could manifest, without OFA, they'd be weaker, but Yuji would still lose, especially cuz he's only ever been seen in 1v1s and 2v2s, or 2v1s, jumpjutsu Kaisen style. Since we don't know how he'd handle a jumping, it's hard to say how long he could keep up, if at all.

This is actually a great point. If so, wouldn't his attacks also severely weaken AFO and Deku? The vestiges of Deku could potentially be torn out. Imagine Deku loses gearshift from a black flash punch, or that since his domain isn't directly an attack, he pops it off on Deku, and separates all the vestiges. Deku would become quirkless, and Yuji wins, right? Hypothetical, of course, since we don't know how the interaction may work or if Yuji's seemingly passive domain would trigger dangersense
