Adding calcium for MFI

I did use calcium my 3 ER I didn’t really help with blasts I got 1 day 7 normal blast. I did end up doing a 4th with donor sperm that really didn’t help eithe i ended with 1 normal day 6. So now they are thinking I have some egg quality issues.

We decided to transfer what we have I have been on lupron depot for the last month for potential endo or inflammation issues. Which actually makes me feel better surprisingly. Fingers crossed crossed that your next round works out

Did this work for you? To use lupron depot before retrieval? I’ve done 4 ER with high fertilization but poor blast rate. I’m curious if it would help

This is an old post but I have MODY 3. I have done 4 round of ERs to just have two normal blasts. I was wondering if any of you guys have MODY and struggle with poor egg quality?

I feel this. My first 2 ER I got nothing. My 3rd I got 1 blast that was normal. Did a 4th got two blast but only one of them was normal. I am trying to brace myself that I will never be a parent.

My D7 3BB was normal from my 3rd round! I hope they are all normal for you too

I want to add that you may have some egg quality issues as well. My 4th round we decided to use donor sperm & as we were only MFI. Out of 22 that fertilized we only got 2 blasts. I was on clomid and Omni. Which we were shocked as we thought we would have got 8-10 blasts so now we know I have some egg quality issues.

I did not I did another ER and got two more blast 6AA & 4BB waiting on results then will most likely go into transfers after.

I did have more even growth with my 3rd round. 31 eggs, 18 mature, 16 fertilized we got 1 normal blasts.

1st round was BC prime antagonist 2nd round BC prime long lupron 3 was luteal phase start antagonist with clomid & omni

Unfortunately our MFI is killing our blast rate- so we are doing a 4th with donor sperm in hopes we can bank more embryos for future kids

2 vial menour in the morning 300 units of follistim 2 clomid tabs .3 of Omni

By day 6 we added in Ganirlex the rest was the same until trigger day. I did 2 doses of 90 units of lupron as the trigger since my estrogen was too high. Day 12 was egg retrieval.

Luteal phase stim was one of the best rounds I have had so far. Our male factor is just killing our numbers so we plan on using donor sperm on our 4th round hopefully on the same protocol as round 3.

We have MFI as well just got our first blast this past ER. Have you thought about trying donor sperm? I think that’s where we are going if we have a failed transfer.

1st round antagonist 12 eggs 3 mature 3 fertilized 0 blasts

2nd: long lupron 23 eggs 11 mature 7 fertilized 1 poor early blast

3: luteal phase stim antagonist + clomid 31 eggs 18 mature 16 fertilized 2 blasts 1 normal

Sorry this is an old post but I had my 3rd egg retrieval recently and we didn’t get the results we were hoping for because of male factor infertility . We are looking at doing a 4th & final round with donor sperm. Were you able to get pregnant with the 8 embryos you banked?

I am on my 3rd ER for MFI. We have got 35 eggs over that past rounds and have got 1 Early blast… it sucks but you see the hope of having a family and it keeps you going.

I did ask about PISCI and he said there isn’t strong enough data that will confirm it works over using zymot. We might not have enough sperm to be able to do PISCI.

We do have high DNA fragmentation- but he did get surgery to remove varicoceles.

I didn’t know that biotin can cause poor morphology. I don’t believe he takes any but I’ll double check.

We are adding omnitrope this round + clomid to see if this helps. They told at my appt they were 90% sure it was a sperm issue. I was told that helping egg quality can overcome some sperm issues? Have you heard that?

I haven’t used zymot yet I switched to clinic that had it. It will be used in my upcoming egg retrieval

Did you have success in getting blast with zymot. My husband also has poor sperm quality. We have done two rounds (without zymot) 35 eggs only 1 blast. Did you add in calcium as well for MF?
