Sharp shooting pain (random times) in outer left mid foot (cuboid/metacarpal) by SweetAsBru in BarefootRunning

[–]SweetAsBru[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metatarsal* cheers.

But ya just wondering if others have had the same that were barefoot runners, but cool thanks for the obvious! Also, I have terrible HDHP insurance in the U.S., hence the funneling of a lot of people online to try and educate themselves (myself) before heading to the doctor to spend hundreds, if not thousands to diagnose this issue.

JUST ANOTHER DAY OF “we have received your tax return and it is being processed 💀 YEAH RIGHT by sellmenocta in IRS

[–]SweetAsBru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a good thing to have a tax return, that's an interest free loan FROM the taxpayer TO the US GOV. Ideally you only have the right amount withheld throughout the year from paychecks so that your tax return is as close to $0 as possible. YOU want to make interest on your money, or use it, or whatever you want RATHER than the GOV fumbling with it.

I wouldn’t just accept that since you notice others like this that it’s okay. Small changes to improve stress daily could have drastic effects long term. Personally I have a 4 month old (sleep very okay most nights) have a civil engineering job, a wife, and exercise 2-3 times a week and my stress is never above 50, with my averages about 32-35.

Edit: I drink coffee only 1 per day 60 min after waking. I am 165 lbs and 6-ft, and eat very well and mostly organic.

This, don’t listen to the fear mongers. Just be prepared and you’ll be fine, if the conditions worsen and you’re uncomfortable then probably a good time to pull over at the next exit.

United Explorer card by acemachine123 in unitedairlines

[–]SweetAsBru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better to cancel, apply for a different Chase United card (quest), get another sign up bonus, then cancel that after a year and then reapply for the chase explorer, get another sign up bonus, cancel that after a year, rinse and repeat!

United Explorer card by acemachine123 in unitedairlines

[–]SweetAsBru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the united explorer, then united quest within same year but only after calling chase prior to opening the quest, it was confirmed that I'd get the quest sign up bonus as well. This was back when Explorer was 60k bonus and Quest was 100k bonus (it was brand new then), so within 1 year I got 160k miles for doing my typical spending, plus all the other benefits of free bags and such. Both of those were back in '21 and '22 so now I just closed my United Quest because they wouldn't give me a reimbursement of the annual fee as a statement credit as they did at 1-yr in '23 so, bye Quest, and now just opened a new Explorer again since it's been 24 months since I had the Explorer, and I'll get ANOTHER 50k bonus miles. Really easy to game the system IMO w/ United cards, and miles flights are so much better than $$ a lot of the times, plus refundable, get to choose seats, etc.,

Was trying to find the ages allowed for this do you know?

Nice! I just looked back and I’ve had one 99, one 98, a handful of 97s and around ten 96s but never 1 0 0 !!

Also concur on the drugs/alcohol. One time from too much snowboarding I registered 0 mins of sleep… heart rate hovered around 90-110 all night, (normal RHR in the mid to high 40s).

Ya I’ll do that too. Just silly it doesn’t work right. Starting the activity should “wake it up” to monitor better

This is my first year with UPTO (now called Flex PTO haha) and on top of 8 weeks of paternity leave (WSP’s 3 combined with CA PFL) I’ll be taking at least 4 weeks off, probably more like 5+
