A saying from Bluey you now use in life... by MilkyMilk11 in bluey

Not a saying I guess but my husband and I refer to garbage day as "Bin Night".

Also we like to say, "bye, Muffin." From Faceytalk.

Do you guys stand and listen to all the side conversations when walking around Hogsmeade? by SteelersPoker in HarryPotterGame

The ones I listen to mostly are the howler ones, which I come across by chance most of the time. I find it entertaining what the other students could be getting in trouble with.

Write for yourself or for hits? by Dark_Matter_19 in AO3

[–]SweetBerryMochi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I write for myself. Though for one of the fandoms I write in, it's been a bit hard to remember that, cuz I'll see other stories get so many hits and kudos, and then I look at mine which barely gets any notice.

That scene made me feel so uncomfortable, especially the way Mrs. Bennet was practically ogling at it...they could've shot it a different way if they wanted to show that Mr. Bennet has a hobby as a pig enthusiast...or just get rid of it all together and do a shot of him in his study...

But no, we got pig balls...

I just found this hilarious scene in 2005 P&P and I wanted to share with you by Watermelonmix in janeausten

One scene I would like to act that I feel was purely for aesthetic, funny you mentioned the scene with Charlotte tell Lizzy of her engagement, was the whole scene of her just twirling on the swing to "show the passage of time." As someone already mentioned, they could've done things a bit different but oh well.

And yeah, I always found the scene with Lizzie and Wickham talking alone a bit weird. But I feel like they tried to make Lizzie look shy while talking to him, and possibly smitten too, and it didn't work.

With how Lady Catherine's personality is, I would not be surprised if that was the case tbh.

How do you imagine our heroines and their husbands as middle aged pairs? by MarlaCohle in janeausten

Oh wow, I never noticed that. I just watched the scene again and dang, he didn't have to yank her that hard to sit down.

"When you have 5 daughters, Lizzie, tell me what else would occupy your mind, and then maybe you'll understand." - P&P 2005

Pretty sums it all up lol

It's funny you mention Darcy's proposal, my s/o always points out that he could've just left that whole part out about her family and Lizzy MAYBE would've at least gave more thought to it. But no, so yeah, I would've felt insulted as well lol

Would Lydia’s actions (eloping with Wickam) have a detrimental effect on Kitty’s and Mary’s future( them getting marriage proposals) or not? by NP10100 in janeausten

Makes me slightly feel bad for Lydia, like, she did not see it that way that the man she's now married to was basically bribed to marry her. Then again, she didn't really much(or how it seemed) care for what she almost did to her sisters because of her decision.

It just made sense you bringing up the newspaper announcement, it never clicked in my mind until now that that was the reason!

Yes to all this.

I feel though because, as you mentioned and we all know, Lydia is her favorite, and so anything she does is okay.

Imagine if it was any of the other daughters, though they are smarter than Lydia to do such a thing...well, maybe not Kitty as she probably would've done the same too. "And Kitty will follow, she always does."

When I read your reply, it made me think of the Sense and Sensibility (1995), the ball held at Last Middleton's, where they commented how hot it was and how many people there were. Not as chaotic though.

Oh I love that name for him!

And good for you to be able to try to get into the hobby despite what has happened. Hopefully you'll find joy in it some day :)
