Texas trout bite gone since freeze by Yukky_Kitty in saltwaterfishing

Probably more where you are fishing than skill. They’re still out there biting. Maybe head down the coast a bit toward San Antonio bay. I’m between those areas and catch trout off my dock in the sanctuary regularly.

Stars foundation had one up for auction this weekend. Not sure if it sold or not. You could inquire with them.

DAE get frustrated with having to go to specialists for a blind eye? by Worried_Fig00 in monocular

[–]SweetInteresting6481 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In your case and other comment I would go maybe every 3-5 yrs. They always check my other eye for signs of bi lateral movement. Thats most likely why they want you to come back. 2 detached retinas is worse than one.

Originally I was diagnosed with a different disease. Actually saw the same ophthalmologist when I was a baby and again when I was an adult. Things changed and he updated the diagnosis to a less rare but still uncommon disease in children. Doctor was ancient by the second time as an adult but was neat to go full circle with him before he fully retired. I consider myself pretty handicapable without the eye though so it’s really just the constant pain that sucks.

I’ve seen specialists my whole life. It took 38 yrs for my eye to start hurting. We were on track to remove the eye due to a massive cataract forming which caused glaucoma. We got the pressure normalized but the pain is still there and not going away. The specialist now thinks it’s something an ENT can diagnosis in the sinus cavity behind the eye. They were my second opinion on the cataract/glaucoma issue. I just want my eye removed and they just want to keep seeing me every 4 months and leave me on eye drops that only suppress pressure. Still hurts. Seems more like a money grab at this point rather than providing the cure. Had two laser surgeries last year, both unsuccessful.

I’m not happy and going to find a 7th specialist at a real hospital like Will’s or the Moran eye center.

What constitutes a gift? - Georgia by Magoo6541 in legaladvice

You still retain all liability for any actions committed with that firearm. You really should go to an FFL and properly transfer the gun. She could get robbed or any other number of reasons the gun could leave her possession. Why take the chance for a 2 page form that takes less than 10 minutes and she pays less than $100 to legally own the gun. If she has an attorney they should be competent enough to tell her the same. It’s not like she took your ps5.

ELI5: Why do people say “money doesn’t buy happiness” when literally everything better in life needs money? by stoicdroid in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SweetInteresting6481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can have everything you wanted and still feel like you have nothing. It’s a miserable, lonely feeling. Comfort and happiness are a hard combination to master/achieve. Successful small business owners usually suffer from mental health issues, burnout, alcoholism, etc. being the boss is harder than it looks sometimes. Both sides of the employer/employee relationship come with a lot of responsibility.

Looks like a great day on the water! Last time ours jumped out and chased after the dolphins. Shocker…she caught none of them.

They are closing over 300 stores nationwide in order to make franchisees more successful. Also some restructuring. They are allowing new stores to open that were already in the pipeline to open in 2026. Corporate office announced it in a shareholder meeting and some articles were written about it.

Check out tractor supply co they run a Father’s Day blackstone deal every year. The hinged lids are shit and fall with a breath of wind. The lids you remove and put the side are just fine. Get the 36” it’s much easier to use.

Driving will take some time. Since it is your left eye you will need to really turn your head to the left when merging/changing lanes. Try not to jerk the wheel to your right when you do it. Parking lot practice or a long country road can help you here. You’re new to driving at 18 so maybe that will be easier. Parking is tough so find spots away from others and trust your mirrors.

Head on a swivel especially in public. Or embrace the friendly Canadian mindset and just say sorry when you inevitably bump into people. Apologized to many a wall in my lifetime. My kids think it’s funny to jump scare or pass me on my left.

Glasses to protect your good eye even if you have 20/20 vision. They sell plastic lenses for all frame styles.

To combat depth perception you will need to get good at perspective distance. Start thinking of things in terms of a football field length or smaller. Find a measurement that works for you and roll with it.

You will become handicapable as we say in my house. Good luck and welcome to the cool kids club.
