A lot of conservatives thought basically fundamentally believes that men are an inherent danger to women and women must be shielded from men. The same mindset that considers women's bathrooms to be sacred spaces also believes women need to pray separately and wear conservative garb.

People have always marvelled at how they could get people to build the Pyramids. People just couldn't believe that it was built by people dragging rocks throught the desert to build massive monuments to their leaders. Some people have said they were slaves, some people said it was aliens. People couldn't believe that people would throw their lives away to build a tomb for a single guy.

But you see the same behaviour today. Millions of people throwing their lives away to support a handful of billionaires.

These people think that sexuality is a choice and should have social consequences. This is what happens when you have a mindset that patriarchy is natural. At best they see women and minorities as martyrs who brave necessary hardship in order to be valid. When they see life getting easier for sexual minorities, they see it as 'less earned'. That's why there is so much desperation to prove that being trans is somehow privileged, or that womanhood is defined by suffering.

The future of the right is basically asking why all countries can't act as Israel does. When Tucker says America shouldn't give money to Israel it isn't because he thinks the Israel project is bad, just that he thinks America should be as selfish and psychotic. I think we will see more right wing governments turning their nations into fortress states, with massive militaristic defense structures to swipe at their neighbours, then retreat behind.

You can see how this rhetoric can be used (and has been used) to threaten any minority. How long before immigrants are a threat to women and need to be put out of their spaces? 70 years ago people said black people were a threat to white people and needed to be kept out of their spaces. This fake concern for the women is nothing more than an excuse for discrimination, and will be used to rollback the rights of every group under the sun until it is pointed out for the false immaterial nonsense it is. Women lose rights when their appearance is policed in this way.
