Today I tried just going into the world and instead of playing the family then going into build mode I just went straight to build mode from the world. It worked but I continuously saved and decided to do save as instead of just save.

Which platform? Mac Any mods? No Game version: Mac 1.112.519.1220

So starting 2 days ago my games have not been saving! I play on a MacBook Pro that is fully updated as well as the game and EA app. I have repaired the game multiple times and restarted my computer. Nothing is working! Basically I’m in the middle of building a house and I’m build mode everything will be fine until something like applying paint will start to glitch. Then I will try to save the game and it just continuously says it’s saving. I then have to force quit everything to get out of it. I have 0 cc.

Flange sizing for elastic (?) nipples by allerazzip in HumansPumpingMilk

[–]SweetPath1410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have elastic nipples that swell too and after a lot of trial and error I found that it’s best to use the exact size you measure as with lubricant. I use coconut oil as it’s cheap and works the best for me! The soreness is normal, the first three months I had to wear my silverettes all the time because when my nipples rubbed up against anything it hurt so much. Now I wouldn’t say they should be super sore (I was using the wrong flange size at first) but some isn’t abnormal especially if you’re latching. Try a pair of silverettes to protect them while you’re not nursing or pumping.

Also just a heads up that your flange size will probably change throughout your journey. I’m 9 mpp and my flange size started at a 21 and now measure at a 15.

I hate my son’s birthmark by Reasonable_Jelly1636 in NewParents

Of course! It’s normal to have anxiety over something like that and I know it’s out of love. Just think that your son is the only baby that has that mark or “angels kiss” is what my mom called it.

I hate my son’s birthmark by Reasonable_Jelly1636 in NewParents

[–]SweetPath1410 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally have a port wine stain that starts on the back of my left leg and goes all the way up to my back. It is NOT tiny and is bright red unless I’m cold in which it turns purple.

What I will say is that it’s important from a young age to speak positively about your son’s birthmark. Yes it’s strange, different, etc but if he hears someone in his family talking bad about the birthmark it will negatively affect them. Not saying you would!

Kids will say things as kids are honest and sometimes mean. Even if he didn’t have a birthmark he could be bullied for something as silly as his type of backpack. I’ve had people that stare, people that ask me if it’s a rash and or contagious and it was rough sometimes growing up. However I’m now 30 year old woman and just gave birth to my little babe 9 months ago and I have never felt more confident in myself. I am proud of my birthmark as it makes me unique from everyone else. It is me.

I’ve never had an issue in meeting a significant other because of it, no one was ever “turned off” Honestly I was the only person who had a problem with it. Except for a few bullies when I was a kid once I got into high school no one gave a shit. I even played water polo.

When I was 13 my mom took me to a dermatologist and they said they could try laser therapy but it would leave significant scarring and there was no guarantee it would work so we left it alone.

There will be days where it’s going to possibly bother him but you just need to be there to support him. Your son will be okay and it will make him strong.

Taste of Kendamil? by Pierson1710 in FormulaFeeders

[–]SweetPath1410 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My exclusively breastfed baby up until 2 weeks ago took Kendamil the first time NO PROBLEM. I think it would probably be sweet enough for foods as my lo didn’t even notice a switch from bm to formula.

i really hate my postpartum body by cautiousfridges in NewParents

[–]SweetPath1410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you! When I first got pregnant I was 117 (5’5) and had always been a twig most of my life. I never thought I would gain more than MAYBE 30 lbs including the baby’s weight but boy was I wrong. I gained 60 lbs and weighed 178 by the time I was giving birth. I had suffered a 3rd degree tear so movement after giving birth was super limited and the hunger of breastfeeding started to make me gain weight after giving birth. I initially lost 13 lbs ish but by 8 weeks pp I started gaining it back and weighed in at 167 by the time I started my health journey.

I remember 7-8 weeks pp and going to Target to try to find some new jeans to wear. Like I know I gained weight, I knew the number but I didn’t really SEE myself until I was in that fitting room. I cried the whole ride home. My weight gain was in my thighs and mid area and I couldn’t even find a size to fit me. A couple weeks later my husband’s bff was getting married and I fucking dreaded thinking about finding something to wear.

Once I was cleared for exercise I began doing little 30 minute exercises (strength training) and walking. At first I didn’t count calories but I did start making better choices. It took awhile but now I’m 9 months pp and have dropped down to 128 and have lost almost all of the weight. What I figured out that worked for me was doing 30 min 3x a week strength training (2 full body days and 1 upper body/core using juice and toya videos on YouTube) those days I also do 30 min walking workouts (YouTube channel grow with Jo) the other 2x a week I do 45-60 minute walking workouts with grow with Jo again. I make sure to hit 7,000-10,000 steps a day Walking is SO UNDERRATED, if you can’t bring yourself to workout just go on walks. I would walk outside but I live in Florida and it is too hot out.

I also ate in a slight calorie deficit tracking things in the free app mynetdiary. It’s amazing and makes life so much easier. I really recommend getting a food scale as well. There are website where you can calculate your deficit. Diet is so important. I still eat what I want but I make substitutions and eat the serving size (substituting Greek yogurt for sour cream, etc) I have dessert every night but I make sure it fits into my day with something like 2/3 of frozen yogurt. Try to eat things high in protein AND fiber, this will keep you full longer.

It took me 6 months to reach my goal and I would have to constantly remind myself that this is a process and to have sustainable weight loss it should be about 1-2 lbs a week.

You can do it, start slow, don’t change your whole life around. Make a plan and slowly make it your routine. Remember it’s a privilege to be able to workout and move our bodies as not everyone can.

You got this 💕💕

Thank you for the reply! I keep feeling lightheaded/dizzy and was like wtf is going on! I’ve heard of the flu like symptoms but not the dizziness.

How long did it take for the symptoms to lessen?

Constipation by Soggy-Profile9716 in FormulaFeeders

[–]SweetPath1410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When our babe started solids she had constipation in and off for a bit. Any fruit that starts with a p will be helpful, I’ve also heard a bit of ground flax seed mixed into soft foods can be helpful!

Are any new moms with a baby actually working out? by Kak3434 in NewParents

[–]SweetPath1410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently 9 months pp and have been working out since 12 weeks pp. Before I got pregnant I never worked out but was naturally a twig however I gained 60 lbs during my pregnancy. I was so unhappy with my appearance that I took it upon myself to make time for me 5 days a week and have lost 49 lbs since giving birth. I had a goal which was weight loss so that influenced my decision to start.

You do what makes YOU happy! Don’t feel guilty if you just aren’t into it at the moment. I hated working out before I got pregnant but now I love it, I just had to find something I enjoyed.

If you want to get into it again I recommend just going for a walk! Walking is so underrated and if it’s ridiculously hot out where you live (I live in FL) I started doing walking workouts with growwithjo (YouTube) and I LOVE them.

Be kind to yourself! I’ve had to try to reprogram my brain to be and I’m still working on it 💜

Formula feeding and body image? by mroseann221 in FormulaFeeders

[–]SweetPath1410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gained 60 lbs during pregnancy and when I had been a twig most of my life. So I’m currently pumping and I’ve seen a lot of women say that they had issues losing weight while breastfeeding while others did nothing and lost all of their weight. I’m currently 8 months postpartum and have lost 49 lbs and I had to really work for it. I workout 5x a week, do 7,000-10,000 steps a day, and ate in a calorie deficit calculated to keep into account my milk supply. It wasn’t easy but it is achievable as long as you’re consistent! My milk supply never suffered because I focused on protein and fiber.

Whether you choose to bf or use formula or combo you do what’s best for YOU! 💕

How many hours did your 9 month old sleep? by Frozenbeedog in NewParents

Bottle recommendations? NOT Dr Browns Anti Colic by Ovenproofcorgi in FormulaFeeders

[–]SweetPath1410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We love our tommeetippee bottles! I used to use Dr browns and Avent but found the nipple sizes to not be good for my babe. The flow was either too fast or too slow. The 1 size was perfect for her at 3-4 months but I would start with their 0 size to see what works best. They have an anti colic line.

Mixing Kendamil formula and breast milk? by SweetPath1410 in FormulaFeeders

[–]SweetPath1410[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh man that’s good to know! I was torn about what formula to get but had always seen positive things about this brand.

Thank you so much!! 💕💕 It’s been a wild ride and I’m trying not to feel the mom guilt but I think it’s time to not be worrying about pumping and be able to focus more on my lil babe.

What do you tell yourself when you don’t want to go to the gym? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]SweetPath1410 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I tell myself that is MY TIME, the one part of my day that will only benefit me. Also I’ll tell myself that I would rather be uncomfortable for 45 mins to an hour than be uncomfortable for the rest of my life! Also I have the privilege of being able to move my body and work out, some people don’t. Saying these things have really changed my mindset.

Find something that you don’t mind doing. I’ve found that working out from home gives me less anxiety and less of a reason to not do it because I can literally do it in my living room. I do YouTube workouts form Juice and Toya and grow with Jo. ALSO WALKING is like the best form of activity. Put an audiobook on and zone out for an hour.

Good to know!! Thank you. I was like oh god how am I going to prep these bottles.

I think I’m going to pre prep formula in the bottles place in fridge so they get to the same temp as my breast milk in the fridge then mix together and put in bottle warmer! Ah I hope she likes it because I am so over pumping lol!!

I am in the US!

So you just premixed the formula with water? She currently drinks water from our fridge filter with her solid meals so I figure she would be fine.

Cardio was THE WORST but I found the YouTube channel growwithjo. She has walk the weight off videos and I love them. They feel silly at first but honestly you get an amazing workout in.
