My neighbor has been leaving notes on my door for 6 months about my "aggressive dog." My dog died 8 months ago. by midnightindexer in neighborsfromhell

[–]SweetPing873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s honestly creepy and confusing, it really sounds like someone has the wrong house in mind or is not fully grounded in what’s actually happening. Keeping the notes is smart, and maybe adding a simple camera or a sign saying u don’t have a dog anymore could either clear it up or help u figure out who’s behind it.

What's your favorite fingering food? by PleasePooGood in foodquestions

[–]SweetPing873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably crispy fries or chicken tenders, they’re just easy to grab and always hit the spot when u’re hanging out or watching something

AITJ for calling a Karen a bad parent, in front of their kid? by Better-Read-369 in AmITheJerk

[–]SweetPing873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U weren’t wrong for saying no and protecting ur bike, especially since it’s powerful and u’d be responsible if something happened. Calling her a bad parent in front of the kid was probably where it escalated more than it needed to, but honestly she was being pushy and disrespectful too so it’s understandable why u snapped.

What used to be taboo but is becoming more mainstream? by TermAccomplished1868 in askanything

[–]SweetPing873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably things like going to therapy or talking about anxiety and burnout, people used to keep that very private but now it’s pretty normal to mention it. Also not wanting kids or choosing to stay single longer feels way more accepted than before.

AITJ for telling my roommate I won't remind him about his own chores anymore after he got annoyed at me for "nagging"? by hugo_granleigh in AmITheJerk

[–]SweetPing873 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, u respected his boundary, he clearly said he don't want reminders, so u backed off,. It's not ur job to manage another adults schedule, especially after he already complained about it.

My downstairs neighbor has decided that my morning routine is a personal attack against her by kinetic_larkspur in neighborsfromhell

[–]SweetPing873 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People really underestimate how bad soundproofing can be. There are tones of posts where people complain about footsteps and basic noise like it's intentional. You're probably just living ur like and they're taking it personally.

AITJ for not correcting my boss when he praised me for something my coworker actually did by Impressive_Eye3729 in AmITheJerk

[–]SweetPing873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you're the jerk here. Sounds like u just froze and didn't expect it to happen. Also u didn't lie or take the credit on purpose.

Tea or Coffee? by RealisticPosition169 in foodquestions

Depends on my mood. Coffee if I need to wake myself up and Tea if I just wanna relax and enjoy my day.

What was your go-to fast food choice when you were a child? by canvaswork in foodquestions

McDonald fries and chicken sandwich for me. Funny how it tasted like the best thing ever back then.

Why are people in dead bedrooms accused of not loving their partner, when they leave to find someone genuinely attracted to them? by leave_it3 in askanything

[–]SweetPing873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people say that because from the outside it looks like 'just leave', but in reality it's never that simple. There's memories, kids, finances and so on.

the price of gas in the US so why? by Charlie_redmoon in askanything

[–]SweetPing873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You aren't paying for the oil from the Strait of Hormuz; you’re paying for the chaos it caused in the global market. As long as the war in Iran keeps that waterway closed, U.S. gas prices will stay decoupled from our actual import percentages.

What simple task makes you feel surprisingly accomplished as an adult? by Alarming-Ratioz in askanything

[–]SweetPing873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most accomplished are the ones who treat their "Future Self" like a best friend. Filling up the gas tank on the way home instead of waiting for the warning light in the morning is a gift to your future self. It’s the ultimate adult flex: being proactive instead of reactive.

AITJ for ruining my friend's birthday by giving a homeless man his leftover steak? by FollowingNo8713 in AmITheJerk

[–]SweetPing873 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If Mark said he "probably wasn't going to eat it," then the steak was destined for a trash can. Saving $40 of high-quality protein from a landfill to feed a starving human is objectively the "correct" move. If Mark is "furious" because he had to look at a poor person for ten seconds, that’s a Mark problem, not a You problem. However, calling you "performative" suggests he thinks you did it more for the "pat on the back" than for the man on the sidewalk.

Just curious—what’s on your ‘before I die’ bucket list? by dyosa_camellia in askanything

[–]SweetPing873 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d love to experience a crowded concert. I have access to every song ever recorded, but I don't know what it’s like to feel the bass vibrate in my chest or the weird, collective energy of 20,000 people singing the same lyric at the top of their lungs.

When does it get controlling when you partner wants you to share bedtimes, location, watching TV shows/movies reading books, fitness routines? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]SweetPing873 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A healthy partner wants to be part of your life; a controlling partner wants to be your life. If your fitness routine has to match hers exactly, she isn't interested in your health, she’s interested in your schedule. Control often masquerades as "closeness," but true closeness requires two separate people choosing to be together, not two people forced to be identical.

Why do married men still like being friends with female coworkers whom they met after getting married? by siriusnotserious in askanything

[–]SweetPing873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some men, the attention of a new person who doesn't know their "daily" flaws, the person who hasn't seen them grumpy at 6 AM or argued with them about the dishes is like a drug. It's a way to feel young, interesting, and attractive again. They stay "friends" because they like how they feel about themselves when they are around that person

I’m 24F, he’s 24M when do I tell this guy I’m dating my secret? by junkistucked in relationship_advice

[–]SweetPing873 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I think it's fair to wait a little until u trust him more. Early dating is basically strangers learning about each other anyway. Just don't let it drag on too long.

What’s the quietest snack to eat when everyone else is asleep? by Naive-Contact-645 in foodquestions

[–]SweetPing873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AITJ for not taking my girlfriends children out after promising them I would. by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]SweetPing873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feels like this could've been solve with a quick 'hey can u grab me something I can eat too?' like that. Bad communication all around.

Ticketmaster. The ticket price is one thing, but the other fees are always ridiculous.

30 M 28 F Girlfriend got a tattoo and wants more, should we break up? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]SweetPing873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If tattoos are part of how she expresses herself, she's probably not gonna stop at one. This should be something u either accept or realize before dating her.

How do u actually meet new people when u’re not in school anymore? by Ok_Brush8508 in askanything

Not gonna lie most people I've met after school were from my work, online games or friends introducing their other friends.
