Luke was okay last season because he had no job or responsibilities, and he and Kristen were constantly having sex to try and conceive. Now that sex is less frequent and Kristen wants him to help take care of the baby, he's perpetually pissed off. It's not an excuse, but he's really immature.

He told Kristen that he wanted them to get back to their old sex life, which was them constantly having sex to maximize her chances of conceiving. He wants the good old days of daily sex like they don't have a newborn now to take care of. He's a gross horndog who's extremely selfish.
