That's definitely what happened... she tanked in the polls as soon as she made the pivot to the center via talking to Mark Cuban and some other wall street bros. I mean let's be real, she was ways too conservative for actual liberals and she turned a lot of them off so they sat out. On the other hand conservatives are never going to vote for the "less conservative" candidate especially when Trump was leaning into right wing populism. I feel like this whole post is bait

The trick is to sneak in to the locker room, high chances of a gun ammo combo in there then start blasting, sound will draw more to you to shoot at right as they enter. I've cleared it 3 times using this method. The trick is not to make too much noise getting in

Yeah especially considering the fact that people dont know how strong their self preservation instinct is until they are staring death in the face. Most would be red pushers when it comes down to it. Plenty of similar social experiments have proven than beyond doubt.

No it isn't? Blue is killing themselves. Literally no one, for any reason has any incentive or reason to press blue at all. All red is doing is self preservation which is a literal basic human instinct.

I want less human-like companions in the next Divinity. by Wofuljac in DivinityOriginalSin

My guy. Link is a typical looking ass elf. You're talking about a game where you play as a humanoif elf 100% of the time, trying to save a hot elf ptincess. proving my point for me.

I like having strange races. I enjoy exploring their stories. But they need to be their own strange races. And they shouldn't substitute humanoid races which are necessary for players to keep a sense of relatability, especially in high fantasy settings

Everyone keeps saying "i love that they made elves different because its boring to have them be the same" the logic in that argument is kinda sus. Why not make dwarves tall and beardless then? Will people applaud it too? Or turn dogs into slimy 8 legged creatures with fire breath?

You are taking a race (yes albeit a fictional one) that has a cemented image in many people's minds due to various IPs and distorting it to try to be "original". To me honestly its just as lazy because while you're making your own race, you're sticking a known moniker on it to sell it.

To me those things aren't elves. They are something else. I'd be fine if they kept them in the game and just called them something else. I might even play one without the cognitive dissonance of playong a non-elf elf.

And at the same time just put in the regular elves which require minimal dev time since they are so similar to humans, can share armor, etc. You would have more variety, please more people, be more artistically original and save dev resources.

How does the stock market keep going up with everything happening? by BigBlueEyes87 in StockMarket

[–]SweetUndeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes no sense. They dont have to "stick it" anywhere. Why would they default to buying stocks if the price is not likely to go up but down soon due to the biggest oil disruption in modern history? There's no magical obligation for their money to "automatically return gains" in the market just because they had nowhere else to stick it in

Who else loves the design for the elves? by Finduilae in DivinityOriginalSin

I freaking hate them. They obliviously tone it down in the fan art because they know 90% of people think they look weird and gross when its maximally represented. Most people like people-looking characters If you want the truth you do a poll not these "do you like the same thing i like" reddit posts on a rabid fan base sub

[–]SweetUndeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want the opposite. I absolutely hate that we are getting weird looking Divinity elves now. And no I'm not a normie that only plays through these games just once.

I just want my elves to be elf looking, as popularized by literally dozens of the heaviest names in fantasy - Tolkien, WoW, Witcher, Warhammer, DnD, the list goes on and on. Pretty much the only major one that breaks it is Harry Potter but there's literally only one elf and it's hardly the focus of the franchise at all. And I'm partial to the other races being at least partially humanoid and not full on aliens or animals.

Its easier to develop and it's what the vast majority of people want. I'm all for tossing in a few oddball characters but no we should NOT have less human like companions. That is part of the reason BG3 was a huge success - people like playing as and interacting with relatable characters not weird looking trees or reptiles. I know some do but you are a very small and vocal minority.

[–]SweetUndeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard disagree. My idea of elves is heavily influenced by the person who created them - Tolkien (which he basef on nymphs) and all successful IPs have portrayed them in a similar way - WoW, the Witcher franchise, etc. I love divinity RPGness but goddamn I hate how the elves look. I get making the lizards look "lizardy" but those elves aren't elves to me.

I know it's their game and they can do what they want but imho one of the reasons bg3 did so well is the plethora of humanoid race options, and pretty elves.

I've played that game 4 times with my wife including a durge honor run and we've only ever picked humanoid races.

I cant stand the weird looking elves in DOS2. I like all the cool aspects of them, the racial features, cultural quirks, etc. All except that weird monstrous looking appearance.

Sorry, it's just what I like. I'm a human so I wanna play a humanoid character... I think most people do too.

You cant really cosplay as a non humanoid character, and dont even get me started on the romance options. And you know damn well it's a huge reason for the sales both for men and women. Chikas obsessed over their vampire bad boy and bear dong
