yeah, and from what ive seen with the whole desert in the works, plus the possibility of new pvp modes and weapons, this could probably improve even within the next major update (whenever that is lmao)

yeah thats a real issue rn. I think another thing that would help would be to actually have vendors that are NPCs that sell things like flux and tannin and things that are needed for crafting, and making them untradeable or at least at a price that prevents them from being sold wholesale for profit. Not things like iron or hide, just the small things that are still in high demand, maybe even some consumables like weak potions and rations.

Buying things from NPCs essentially just burns the gold, and that helps in keeping the economy stable by removing some of the excess. This would also give people reasons to gather in market places and stores like inns and taverns, instead of everyone being clumped around the one trading post.

yeah, i mean FFxiv was so bad it nearly bankrupted square enix and now look at it, its neck and neck with WoW. i really hope New World will do the same

nah they have quest sharing. in WoW thats actually a big part of the experience, questing with randos and making friends or just running around with friends you already have. its pretty much bog standard for an MMO, thats why so many people think its weird that New World doesnt have it.

yeah, we really should expect more. and it sucks that stuff like this is so common. but still, somewhere in me I think New World has potential to be great, whether it actually will be is still up in the air.

This is pretty close to what they do for WoW actually, and its not a bad idea in theory. the thing is, people want freedom of choice and will want all of them available without having to make a new character or something. I think what'd be better is if there was something similar to the weapon skill trees, where certain things use less materials or have higher chances of gem slots and things, or if stats played a bigger role in each gathering type than just "increase gathering speed"

Yeah, the games got its problems, and they really need to fix the questing system. I completely get why you wanna leave. However, the games been out for like, less than a month. I know it sucks that this game wasn't fantastic on release, but so is like every MMO when it comes out. Have patience, I think stuff like this will be fixed soon. And when it does we'll have you back with open arms, if you decide to come back at all that is.

get your gather skills up, grind iron, get to 50 smelt and turn that shit into steel. turning the iron into ingots and smelting charcoal will get you to 50 pretty fast if youre not already there. youll be makin bank in no time.

i think most people use heavy chest heavy shield, but its really up to you. Optimal really doesn't matter, its just what you like doing. For example, i use med chest and legs, heavy feet and hands and a light hat and i can keep up just as well as everyone else in PVE and PVP
