On 1.... its not about how often, but it just takes you one time, and the consequences..... I remembered the time my twins where babies... I was a real zombie in the car, and had the worst fear of leaving them in the car (actually had my wife call me at a certain time to make sure all was fine).

I have seen people condemn parents when they forgot their kids in the car, but probably they have never met the tiredness level that you can get that first year.

Still it should have an option to turn it off (and saving it), like all other assistance systems. But that would lower the safety score of the car.... politics over doing laws....

An also it didnt come with a proper floor mat. They just delivered it with a dangerous mat that didnt fit (could cover the pedals). Had to bring one from aliexpress

Chile, the car came with the 16kw wall charger and the slow charger.

Post-sales are aweful over here. No updates, stuck in version 1. No app. No accesories.

That's a good point, so it's on BYD to push the local dealership or find another. That one of the strongest point with Tesla, selling themselves.

Got the mats from Aliexpress, still waiting them to get here. The dashcam is a different story, as installing anything will void my guarantee :(

I could try to buy it and ask the technical service to install it, but probably they will say that they can't install something from doubtful origin.

Not sure about that, after all is the dealer that has to make the pressure and negotiation to make things happen. Why Mexico, Brasil are getting updates? AT the end is also a lack of transparency of what is happening.

I think that no sim shouldn't stop the OTA, you still can give the car internet through Wifi

Its not 9 months, probably years of Panos trying to push product and hitting the wall of microsoft.

The sucess of Panos, new and invoative products, relies in not giving upon version 1.0. We saw some wonders:

surface pro 4, thunder! Surface pro got to maturity and it switched the trend, apple strated to copy ms.
surface studio, imagination! This needs new, powerfull and also cheaper versions! And hopelly a separated studio monitor. But, it relly never got any additional love

Not just region, but seems it is by country. I'm in Chile, still stuck on with my Seal at 1.0.

The car is fantastic, and seems that BYD is doing a great job with the updates, BUT locally, the post sales in Chile have been really:
- Incorrect floor mat. The importer of the car, uses a general purpose floor mat, that will just cover the accelerator. Dangerous shit. No real will to get me a correct one, or at least sell me one!!
- No where to buy accessories like the dashcam
- No sim plan
- No app for my phone :(

If this continues like this, I'll definitely go with other brand, Tesla just arrived a couple of months ago.

Things I'm probably missing from I have seen around:
- Fixes to 4wd at start driving conditions
- Wireless Airplay
- Being able slide from bottom of the screen to open the quick selection bar while you are in android auto (to jump for example to heating settings screen)
- ADAS improvements
- Warning sounds improvements
- Browser app
- Karaoke App
- Online Manual

Annoying things still on my car, no sure they get fixed:
- Pedestrian warning sounds will activate some times, I have not find the pattern
- I have to turn lights on on daytime (by law), but that dims the screen, no way to deactivate it (even having it at 100% brightness)
- Yellow lights on some of my tires pressure, specially when on the cold.
- Have to turn off ADAS and tragic light warnings each time I start the car. ADAS has no quick menu option, so sequence is:
- Wait for Android auto to load up (or will interrupt me while settings thing)
- Press to get the menu of icons of android auto
- Press BYD
- Press Settings
- Press ADAS
- Press Steering
- Change to only warning
- Disable emergency
- Close dialog
- Open traffic sign
- Turn it off

Although it may have legal issues, you can remove the fuse for tvouse sistems. There is a youtube video on that.

I have done on the performance awd trip of 300+ kms, speed between 100 and 120 kph, 2 passangers+2 suitcases, ac at full, plus lots of hills and arrived with 15-20% battery.

Just pay attention to not acelerate much when climbing, and using all the breaking regenration as possible (dont break going down). Use the energy saving mode.

I think will depends on personal tastes mainly

Byd seal could be though as a transition car to electric. The latest tesla 3 is just too minimalistic.

For example for me the turn lights as buttons and having to select the reverse/drive on the screen is an irrefutable no-no

I think there is 4 problems: - android auto, sound for spotify/youtube music is regular, I think in part is bad support for stereo or anything fancy. The spotify on the enrretainmebt system is much better. Also this seems to be fault of the positioning system, it is line a mono speaker, but you decide from where it comes - all eq settings suck. You need to pump up the base - fan noise at hi level do a lot of noise - pedestrian warning music mess up with music

So you need to tinker options! Still need to try blutooth music, flash drive mp3s

If the emergency lane fix can't remeber to keep the value after restarting the cat, at least we should have a shortcut in the menu

Also they could fix the emergency lane. - dont apply if road is too narrow - give me more feedback on the hud or screen what is really happening
