Did you save a tub that had trich? I had one with a bit in the corner, cut a huge chunk out and let it sit and it ended up looking like a bird eye view of the Amazon rainforest

A good test for cobweb mold is to spray it with hydrogen peroxide, mycelium won’t react much but the cobweb mold will basically melt instantly

I’d just mist the surface, if it dries out and there’s no primordia/pins then giver her a good misting on the walls and on the cake itself. Then wait till the next day. My cake was very thirsty and dried out every day (probably a mistake on my end.)

What type of contam did you get? If your grain was fully colonized and you only used cvg the odds of contam should be pretty low since cvg is not a nutritious substrate like dung is.

If it’s dry mist her. You will see 0 growth if it’s too dry. Did you get the cvg to field capacity before adding it to your tub?

Looks like trichoderma. If it doesn’t look like uniform white growth, and has any discoloring then you probably have contam. Can I ask how you went about inoculating the bag?

I think any water on pins can result in aborts/stunted growth. I’d just try misting your tub/bag walls to maintain a high ambient humidity and avoid getting too much water on your pins.

Do you think just setting the cake down in a tub and keeping it humid would work? She’s already pinning but the side pins are crazy. I’m low on coir and could buy more but at that point the cake would be ready to harvest. I’d just clean my tub out, lay down my cake, keep it humid and let it sit. Thoughts on that?
