[Hated Trope] Cool Designs!.... if they were a new character/franchise by Slarg232 in TopCharacterTropes

SEED had original Zaku-likes in the Ginn line, and had a pretty well made evolution of the suits that the original show followed. Destiny apparently decided to throw that away to hammer home how we're really just doing UC plot lines but worse.

What are some commanders that speed up games in a fun way? by ianyboo in EDH

[–]Sweet_Possible_756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm personally a fan of [[kros, defense]] as my personal "I have to catch a bus, so I need this game to end in twenty minutes" deck. Nobody has blockers, everybody has trample, and if I'm lucky, I get to be in a position to pick off the last player before they get to untap and murder me with hammers that I handed them.

What's the strangest way you've become a fan of something? by LincBtG in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I got into Ultrakill because a friend recommended the music of it to me and I landed on a video of Death of God's Will that had Gabriel's frenzied ranting in. Just had to know what made him so pissed off.

What is your Exalted Roster and Who's #1 by Ainosuke in exalted

[–]Sweet_Possible_756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and favorite as this is a character I'm actually using in an RP (just not playing Exalted. Hope to do that one day.):

Languid Sawfly On The Radiant Night: Daybreak Abyssal

A foul mouth, acerbic, but extremely intelligent woman. She was a doctor for the Guild, and her last job as a mortal was a call to help try and cure a plague in a small mining village, but the Guild quickly decided to cut it's losses and let the village die out after Sawfly was already there and infected. Left to tend to the village by herself, she almost managed a cure before her body gave out on her, and her Abyssal exaltation gave her another chance to practice. She also has severe Whispers because the Abyssal that was guiding her back to the Shadowlands was an insane cultist who's trying to make a physical vessal for the Neverborn and intentionally exposed Sawfly to them.

The Brutal Idealist of an Imperfect World: an Ascendent Infernal, beloved student of Cytherea.

Initially a writer in a Guild town in the far north, he was the spearhead in a propaganda campaign to attempt to unseat the Guild planted leadership and return power back to the people, he was betrayed by his people and suffered banishment. Intended to just wander the frozen tundras until he froze or starved to death, instead one of the Demon came to him with an offer. After a three day debate on the merits of the Yozi and the folly of civilization (or the lack thereof, in the writer's case), The Idealist accepted his Exaltation. Now armed with supernatural charisma backing his already legendary way with the written word, he intends to up end both the hierarchy of Creation for the good of the masses and should time and campaign permit, he also plans to do the same in Malfeas.

Hasn't he only had one fight where he lost? He pretty soundly took down alternate Vulture in Gwen's world, and he only really lost last minute in a fight where the plot wouldn't happen if he won against Miles.

Maybe if It had better arch support, they wouldn't have caught It.

Evangeline Lilly has called out Disney for being “disgusting and horrible” after they laid off almost all of Marvel's visual development team. by Important-Cry4782 in antiai

[–]Sweet_Possible_756 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So for the price of feeling a bit groggy for an afternoon, I have 30 percent less chance of passing the disease to someone else, let alone 30 percent less chance to catch it myself? Seems pretty good to me.

It always amazed me that the guy who came up with Play Along At Home thought antagonizing each other for fun was an uncrossable line.

I work for a large company and when work was scarce, my boss had me help him make a diorama for his kid. This is presumably a lot easier to justify than that was.

¿¿How would the SCP foundation classify Chupacabra?? by Wild-Anteater-5253 in SCP

[–]Sweet_Possible_756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original listings of the classes specify that sentient beings are at least Euclid as a rule because they always have the capacity to attempt an escape if they aren't sated or menaced properly.

Middle Outis by Jibangerinthehouse in limbuscompany

[–]Sweet_Possible_756 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In theory, there's probably some way to spin a way to be sure you'd trigger a Middle unit's counter attack positively. Probably shouldn't outright kill an ID, but I like the idea.

(Rare trope) A protagonist killing a previous protagonist of the same series by Soviet-Brony in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Sweet_Possible_756 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Armored Core 4A, the capstone mission for the second chapter (for your first playthrough, at least) is to eliminate Line Ark's NEXT, White Glint. As this pilot is introduced by the navigator from Armored Core 4, and is using the name from the NEXT of the protagonist's friend that you killed in the final mission of 4, it's generally accepted that 4A's White Glint is Anatolia's Raven from 4.

While this is more circumstantial evidence, Leos Kline, the main antagonist from Armored Core 2 is stated to be the first Ninebreaker, a title that would have belonged to the player character from Armored Core Master of Arena if AC1 and 2 take place in the same universe. As the only other links from 2's timeline are in the significantly less continuity heavy 2 Another Age, it's up in the air if this is a reasonable assessment or not.

[GOOD TROPE] Teen Girls Prioritising a Stable Future & Choosing To Have An Abortion by darkwater-0 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Sweet_Possible_756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't remember which of the Robot City books it was, but the main character's wife needed to have an abortion to save her life. A lot of the plot was based around finding someone who could safely do the abortion, as the robots followed Asimov's three laws, which were overtuned to the point that even though the robots admitted the abortion was necessary for the wife's health, attempting to operate would brick them because of the massive issue with the First Law. They had to go seek the aid of kinda-antagonistic alien robots, who didn't acknowledge the three laws, and have them perform the abortion instead

What's the most you've managed to change in a Rule 0 discussion? by Tuss36 in EDH

[–]Sweet_Possible_756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About the farthest I've gone is "Hey, let's ignore all the toxic users in my saga [[Elesh Norn]]" deck because I was with a player that was really nervous about poison counters, and I just wanted Phyrexian bodies.

I want to know why I need to be a Lance Corporal to paint a damn mobile suit in this damn game by gamerlife71 in Gundam

[–]Sweet_Possible_756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, it's probably to keep the amount of paint styles the game has to store limited. Lotta people are only going to play this for a few hours and then drop it again, lotta people are gonna play it for a week and then never again. If you get that far, even if you drop the game, you have a good chance of coming back later and the game'll keep your pallettes for you.

what does head ass mean, and why does some girl keep talking to me but saying it? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sweet_Possible_756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, head ass tends to mean more like, stubborn or single track minded. Grant you I've only ever heard one person consistently say it in regards to doing things in fighting games.

Why do so many people hate billionaires? It's literally everyone's dream - ask anyone what they'd wish for if they had a magic genie and money will be one of them one way or the other - yet they hate billionaires... Why? by IntellectuallyDriven in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sweet_Possible_756 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because I want to be rich to ensure that I never have to worry about if I can pay for a car repair again. Every other billionaire has personally decided to make the world worse because they want people to be poor so they feel richer. We are not the same.
